(MCU) Ashen

The H.Y.D.R.A base

Clara got out of the Vibranium room. Dr. C was currently sleeping. She teleported to her bed again and appeared in a blue dust cloud. 3 am it was. She changed in an instant to her pijamas with red magic. She didn't even noticed when she was asleep.

It was already next day. She remembered the events from last night and how she had helped Steve save the child. Today was Thursday. Almost the end of the week.

She had all the morning to herself, Clara did everything very calmly: she took a bath, breakfast, she even had a nice talk with her mother.

Her mother drove her to school. She had again a reading comprehension exam, but it was nice, not too good, not too bad. Then she wanted to rest. At night she would have her other exam, history. She didn't like it. She hated history, all about dates and many people names. Then she remembered about Bucky, Peggy, Steve, Howard. She remembered the events of the War and that helped her to study.

The exam came and she was ready for it. She didn't study 100%, but she could manage, she was a very intelligent girl.

It was already night and she was exhausted from the day. After all, she didn't manage the exam as she thought. She was very dissapointed with herself. She needed a distraction, in order for her to feel better. She raised her arm and opened her left hand. The words of her mission tickled her as they appeared. They started shifting away, leaving her watching her palm. She sighed. After all, she could still make a mission today, didn't she?

She appeared at the lab, blue dust dissapearing behing her.

"Hi Clara, how was the exam today?" Dr. C asked

"Regular" Clara answered

Tally came bursting into the lab, saying her favorite musical group had made a comeback.

Clara just laughed. Something she thought couldn't happen today.

Clara and Tally didn't speak in school and this days not even a single hello, since they had exams in two different classes. They weren't even close friends, but they got to talk sometimes.

"Isn't it too late for you to be awake, Tally?" Clara said

"See, girl, I told you, tomorrow you have exams" Dr. C said to Tally

"Sorry dad, I'm going now" Tally said going up stairs to the lab's door, but before she got out she said to Clara

"Isn't it too late for you to be awake, Clara? See, girl, tomorrow you have exams" Tally said making a serious and mockingly face, but then cracking up. Clara just smiled. She wasn't really in the mood, she remembered what happened a while ago.

When Tally was gone, Dr. C said

"Are you feeling alright?"

Clara tried to push her tears back. Instead a tear rolled down her face.

"I'm fine, I just need some time".

Dr. C nodded.

Clara just headded to her favorite room

Clara appeared in a forest. It was night. She waited.

She saw someone approaching. She quickly changed in a quick red dust cloud to her combat outfit. Then she moved her hands in the air making her yellow magic turned her invisible. With that done she approached the soldier. She used her orange magic for the first time to identify the subject.

Steve.

What the hell was he doing here? Then she remembered. They had to save Bucky.

"Steve turn to your right. It's me, Clara"

Steve turned to see her, and ran to her.

"Why are you here? Isn't it to dangerous?" He asked, whispering and concerned

"Yeah, I'll get used to it"

"What do you mean" Steve said, obvious concern on his voice

"For a interdimensional saviour, I think I'll get used to it. You know, the fighting and stuff."

Steve just sighed. They walked for a while

"You keep many secrets... I don't know why I really trust you..."

"You must trust me Steve" Clara said turning him to look at her by the eyes.

"Sorry" Clara said before getting her hands from his shoulders. "You know, it is too difficult. I can not tell you anything because I know the future... and if I tell you..."

"I'll try to change it..." Steve said, now he was a bit angry.

"And you can't do that, because it'll change everything and I may not be able to save you" Clara said, now both of them entering a discussion

"And don't you think that maybe it'll change for good? Don't you think that maybe sharing will make things better? Save some more lives? Prevent those catastrophies you keep talking about?" Steve said a bit louder.

Clara was tearing inside, he spoke the truth, but she couldn't. Her powers didn't allow her to follow other path. She remembered Dr. Strange's words "It was the only way".

Clara was about to speak when she saw that they were near.

"We'll talk about this later". Steve said serious. And went running to the HYDRA's truck

Clara couldn't get mad at him, if she were in his place she would have got mad too.

Clara started to run, Steve was already inside, so she decided to just teleport to him.

"Damn it" She closed her eyes and localized him with her soul powers, then she concentrated her energy thinking about blue. suddenly she was into another place, someone was going to punch her, but she ducked and then she pulled out a knife from her right pocket stabbing the man. She was in the truck, steve was fighting the other man. she moved her left hand casting purple energy that tied the man's hands to his back, she made another movemend with her hand and purple energy tied his legs, then she grabbed her knife and slaughtered his arm, she lifted him with her purple magic into the air and pushed him out of the truck. Two seconds later, Steve pushed the other man out of the truck.

"You can kill me at any moment and I wouldn't notice, How am I supossed to trust you?"

"Because there's only one way to save the world, and I'm on it's side. "

Clara sensed they already were inside the HYDRA's place. she stood up and threw herself out of the truck.

Steve stayed longer, thinking about what Clara had said. Then he pushed another HYDRA soldier out, getting out and following Clara

Clara knew Steve trusted her in some way. He could see she was kind. And Clara felt bad, because she would betray him soon, very soon, and she couldn't stop that.
