What happened a while ago

I was trying to rest. Too loud. The cafeteria was too loud. I was letting my head on top of my arms and trying. to. rest. I heard Ricardo's voice all over the cafeteria, chatting with his friends, as always.

I raised my head only to see Chiara, my best friend shaking her head in dissaproval to them. I was too tired. I wasn't sleeping well, but nobody had to know the real reason. I slowly sat well and took out some cookies and my juice and started to eat, not because I was hungry, but because I needed to eat, if not I was going to faint at the middle of the class.

I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Jennifer Lee, changed my name before I graduated from highschool. The reason? There was a big problem...I had returned home that day...I couldn't control myself, a lot of people knew her, Clara....but not me, I changed.

Flashback

"Wha-what is that Clara?"

"I-I can explain-please Liam, don't-"

"MOOOM, HELPPPP"

Mom came running and inmeadiately was scared when she saw my hands, raging with blue fire. While she covered my brother behind her, she said

"¿What is this, Clara?"

"Mom I can explain"

"Liam, please go to your room" Mom said

She approached me. But she wasn't scared anymore, she was worried.

"¿What happened?"

"I don't know how to explain it..." I said while starting to cry. I was there, sitting in my bed with her, my hands in front of me, blue fire iluminating the room.

"Calm down, let me see" She said while reaching carefully her hand with my hand.

I felt different. Where were we?

"What?? How?" My mom said

"It's space power mom" I said to her. My hands still glowing blue. We were sitting at her bed now, we had been moved by space.

"Clara, how has this happened to you? ..." She started to cry, now letting her hands clean her own tears.

"Mom...I'm sorry, I-I swear I didn't do anything wrong, please let me explain..." I said, crying, tears flooding my shirt, my hands iluminating the room.

Suddenly the blue fire extinguished. the room was dark.

"Mom?"

No answer. One, two....three...four....five seconds. She turned the lights on.

"What happened?" She said

She scared me, I thought something had happened to her.

"I-I am going to explain everything, everything. I promise"

"It's okay darling, It's okay." She approached me and I hugged her, taking in her scent, that calmed me a lot, that made me feel secure..."

My brother came in screaming full of anger

"SHE DOESN'T DESERVE YOU MOM, DO YOU KNOW WHO SHE IS, DO YOU KNOW THAT MONSTER, WHO KNOWS WHAT TYPE OF DARK MAGIC SHE IS HOLDING" He said while he threw my dagas and guns. How had he found them?

My mother was beyond surprised, but she knew what to do

"Liam, please calm down, let her explain, please, we don't know what she has gone through, LIAMMMM"

My brother went outside the house, phone in his hand...calling the police....

End of Flashback.

Since then, things have changed a lot, I had managed to explain to the police, because when they came home, not only my hands were ragging with blue fire, but my gems and my equipment too. So I explained to them, well, lied to them, telling them I was making sorcery (that I was not), and who knows what....It didn't work. Of course

Flashback

I was at the police station. I had managed to get my orange gem and comunicated with him, not my boss, but my mentor, who gave me my mission.

"Girl, what did you do..." he said telepathically with his raspy and old voice

"I'm sorry...but I can fix this..." I said back

"I hope you do, because I cannot longer help you, I have one last mission to complete, and then you are by your own."

Those were the last words I heard him say after the news all over the internet expanded about he had died.

That day I was in the news and the weird event was one of the main things you see while you scroll through social media. Terrible, Isn't it?

I was difficult to believe, but yeah, I'm an Interdimensional traveller who needs to save the Marvel universe, because apparently it is real aaand I also need to study and be a professional in my dimension. So, since that day, I kind of started a new life, changed my name and made the police come again, convinced them nothing was wrong. Since then I have learned to control and discover my blue power, since the other gems are not working in this dimension.
