Impossible Dreams

First day back

Girls dorms 

The next morning Hermione awakes to the sound of the birds tweeting, she opens her eyes and she could see daylight, she gets out of bed and she felt the coldness getting to her body, she felt could but she couldn't get back to sleep because her final year started today, the real work, Hermione is looking forward to it but the one thing that is letting her down and making her lose confidence is Draco Malfoy, she is worried about the outcome with Draco, thoughts are still running through her head, she has a feeling that Draco will be in her classes but hops that Draco wouldn't keep looking at her throughout the day.

The Great hall

withinan hour Hermione was all ready for her day of school, she slowly walked down tothe great hall to find that Harry and Ron are talking and eating over at theGryffindor table, she looks over at the Slytherin table to find Draco having alaugh with his Slytherin friends, She walks over to the Slytherin table butDraco notices her walking and just glares at her, so she goes over to theGryffindor table.    

"Goodmorning Hermione!" Harry says with a smile as she sits down. "Good morning Harry, Ron." She says, then shetakes a piece of toast, a sausage and a piece of bacon and started eating. 

"Haveyou seen Ginny?" Ron asks as he continues to eat his sausage. "No, I thought she would be here." Hermione saysthen she continues eating then Ginnycomes in the hall and goes up to them andsits with them "Morning guys!" She says with a smile. "Ginny, where have you been?" Ron asks."Getting ready." She says then starts eating.  

"Ugh."Ron says then Continues eating, as they continue eating and talking, Hermionelooks up for a second and sees Draco looking at her, she didn't dear to look athim back so she just ignores him and looks away. 

Potion class

Lessensstart soon after, Ron is in the bottom classes from Harry and Hermione and sois Crabbe and Goyle, Harry and Hermione enter their first class of the year whichis potions, they sit at the same desk and keep themselves entertained as theywaited for the lesson to begin then justat that moment Draco walks into the classroom followed by Pansy Parkinson.    

Pansyis the first to see them and give them both a dirty look, Draco and Pansy sitat the desk on the other side of the room, Hermione just ignores the fact Dracois there but Draco wanted to be noticed so he continued to look at her thenPansy notices Draco is distracted looking at something. 

"Whatare you looking at Draco?" Pansy asks then quickly Draco takes his eyes offHermione. "Nothing." "You don't fool me Draco Malfoy, so what were you lookingat?" "Pansy, really it was nothing." Just atthat moment professor Snape enters the classroom wearing his long black clockand the students face the front.    

Dracotakes a quick glance at Hermione and she surprisingly turns and faces him, theylook into each other's eyes for a few seconds but are soon interrupted by thesound of Snape's voice talking to the class so Draco and Hermione quickly lookback to the front.    

Thelesson is boring, all it is about is reading up the main potions and theiruses, professor Snape keeps questioning them about what they read about in thetext but with their books shut, knowing Hermione she would be the more cleverone in the class and answer all the questions but Professor Snape wanted someoneelse to answer instead of hearing a muggle-born voice all the time.   

Snape ends up getting so annoyed that he ends up giving her a detention. "Sir, shewas answering your questions, what harm can it do? She only wants to leave herewith good grades." Harry says standing up for her. "Would you like to join herMr Potter in detention tonight? coz if you don't then I suggest that you keepyour mouth shut!" Snape says angrily, Harry lays back in his chair while Snapecontinues the lessen, Hermione looks all over the room and notices that Dracois smiling at her, she just takes one glance at him and turns back to the front.
