"You love hurts. Because it's not for me."

The cold, fresh air of London hit my face as I exited the apartment building in which I lived in, sharing a room with my best friend Jimin. I headed towards the cafe on the other side of the street, a smile on my face as I could see the familiar face already waiting by the door with a coffee in hand. I smiled and shook my head, my arms crossed over my chest as I crossed the street once the light was green for me.

"Jamie. How many times did I tell you to not wait for me in the cold?" I asked once I started reaching him. Jamie Frazer. He was my other friend. I met him a few months ago while I was working on my assignment in the cafe his parents owned. "I would wait anytime. This cold is nothing compared to the winter in Scotland." He chuckled, causing me to chuckle with him while I took the coffee he was holding.

"Still, you can get ill or something. The air here isn't very clean." I giggled, taking a sip of the coffee, instantly feeling it warm up my throat and belly. He shook his head, "Nothing is different from Scotland. The only difference is that there are more lakes and trees than the number of cars here." He joked, opening the door for me as we both headed inside.

I felt the hot air of the cafe hit my cold skin when I entered, making me shiver at the sudden change of temperature. "Go on and sit there, lassie. I'll bring ya some hot pastries to fill your stomach with, aye?" He said, his Scottish accent made me smile. I sat down by the table he was talking about, sipping on my coffee as I looked outside the window.

My eyes sparkled and widened when little snowflakes started falling, showing the beautiful snow as it fell. I sighed in relaxation, things like this reminding me of Busan, my hometown. My mind soon drifted to the boy fell in love with, causing the smile that was resting on my lips to disappear slowly, right on time when Jamie came.

"Oh, no. I see a smile going away. Remembering your hometown again, aye?" He said as he carried a tray with different pastries. While placing it on the table between us, he sat down on the chair in front of me. "Yeah, you know me well," I replied, smiling sadly as I took a pastry. "Oh, lassie. I've known you for quite some time now. Every time you see snow or anything that reminds you of your hometown, your smile disappears."

I giggled quietly, nodding softly. He was right, he couldn't be more right. My hometown was the only place I wanted to visit the last few months. I ran away to London, trying to find happiness or things to take my mind off from what happened years ago there. Jimin was the only one who decided to come with me, wanting to make sure I was fine.

"Does it have to do with the lad again?" He asked, a worried look in his eyes that made me smile truthfully. "As I said, you know me too well." I giggled, placing my hand over his. Jamie just shook his head, pulling his hand away after patting mine and taking a pastry. Jamie was only a brother to me. A big brother. And I was a little sister to him.

I talked to him that I didn't want any type of relationship with him or anyone, and he had the same idea as me since something similar happened to him as well. I took a bite of the delicious chocolate pastry, sipping on my coffee after with a smile. The bell of the entrance rang as the door opened, letting in a wave of cold air as the person entered.

"There you are. I knew you'd be here with Jamie." A guy's voice sounded from behind me. I smiled, turning slightly around as I chewed on the bite I took from the pastry. "You know me too well as well," I replied, seeing Jimin walking to us and taking a seat beside me. "Hey, Jamie. How are you doing today?" He asked, looking at Jamie as he rubbed his hands together, trying to get rid of the cold.

"You know, the same thing every day. I'll bring you your coffee." Jamie replied, getting up and going towards the counter. "You were lucky to meet him. He's like a big brother to us." Jimin chuckled, ruffling my hair as I chuckled as well. Jamie was 4 years older than me. I was 23, Jimin was 25 and Jamie was 28.

"Here ya go. I'm sorry lass and lad but I'll be going now. Costumers are waiting for me." He said, pointing towards the upcoming people entering the cafe. We smiled and nodded, watching him walk away. Jimin looked at his watch and sighed, "Well, right on time again. 8.30 am and people are already coming for their coffees." He said.

I took another bite of my pastry, Jimin stealing it from me and eating the rest. "That was mine, you know?" I chuckled. "Oh, was it?" He asked, his mouth full with the pastry. I slapped his arm and took another one, this time smaller. I ate it as I heard him chuckle, hitting him with my leg on his to hear him groan. "That's what you get for stealing my food." I stuck my tongue out.

"Damn, woman! You are like Seokjin with food." He said. Seokjin was his friend. He used to live in Korea before he moved to London to pursue his business dream, wanting to become a known CEO. My phone soon vibrated in my jacket's pocket, making me jump slightly.
