*chapter 6*

I wake to the doctor talking about Archie.

"He's out of surgery, but we need to get his room ready." he said. " but the weirdest thing happened after his surgery he couldn't where he was, what happened, or his name."

I stood up and thought of the worst. " So he lost his memory?" I say.

"We're pretty sure. Yes." He says looking down. I think about how he's probably forgotten who I was and what I was to him. At that moment I collapse and I break down crying. Betty ran to me and held me.
"Veronica, it's alright, but look he's gonna remember who you are in no time." She says.
"No he's not Betty, he's gonna wake up and forgot who the hell I am. I can't live with like this, knowing that he doesn't remember who I was, or who I was to him." I say crying less.
"It's alright V." She says again. About a few more minutes of crying and holding each other I finally get up and the doctor came in and walked towards us.
"Archie got a room and is all ready in there. But he is still in a coma." He says.
"I say we should let Fred go first since it is his son. Even though he may not remember." Betty says. I look at her and scoff she looks at me.
"Sorry." She mouths. I turned around.

An hour later.

Fred comes out of the room with tears in his eyes. I hug him and say that it's okay.
"Veronica should go next. Since it was her life that he saved." Fred suggests. I nod and walk inside. I see Archie pale and in a coma on a hospital bed. Tears came to my eyes. I sit by Archie and I hold his hand which was super cold.
"This is all my fault, I did this to you, I made your life like this, if you've never met me you probably never had to get shot to save me. Even though you can't hear me or you can't remember me, but I love you Archie." I say.
"This isn't your fault. I think I chose to save you, I guess, I don't really know, cause I can't remember anything." Archie says.
"Archie?!" I say looking up quickly. I see him. His eyes open and him looking at me.
"Hi." He says.
"Hey, I'll have to introduce me to you again since you don't remember me, but I'm Veronica Lodge. I'm your girlfriend, well ex, we broke up the day you got shot."
"You're my ex girlfriend? I don't know how or why but I can't see myself dating you. Not even in the old life when I remembered everything. Or in this life." He says. I get up and get the doctor to tell him that he woke up.
"Archie's awake." I say to the doctor.
"Alright. Tell him that I'll be right there." He says. I nod and walk to Archie's room.
"He'll be right here." I say then immediately walk out the door. The doctor finally came back from the room and had some good news for us.
"Archie did get his memory taken but he'll get it back in a month or two." He says. I smile ear to ear. But then the smile fades when I think of him being with a new girl. Since he said he doesn't want to be with me in this "new life".

Author's note: guys I'm so sorry I haven't been updating but I've been super busy. I know that's not an excuse, but I really have been. I had to go somewhere and I didn't get home till 10:00 and I was to tired to update, then it was Halloween and I went trick or treat with my ban at cousins and didn't get home till 9:45 and my bedtime at 9:30, then I honestly didn't have anything to do yesterday. But I hope you like this chapter it was super rushed because I still need to update like 3 more times. So yeah.
