*Next Morning*
**Harrys POV**
I'm still fuming at Jake, so I got to the football field.
I kick the ball into the net over and over again, taking all my anger out. It's not helping much, but it's a distraction at least. I've always enjoyed football (or soccer, in America), and played when I was younger. I don't play anymore, not a team at least, but I come down to the field most mornings. For me it's an escape, and a distraction. Nobody else comes to this park, since it's so rundown. Just about the only thing left is the field, and the white lines have disappeared. There's a hole in the net, but it doesn't bother me much. I've learned to just aim at the other end of the net. It's coo out, but it can barely tell because I'm sweating so much. I continue to abuse the ball, watching as it goes in the goal every time.
**Meredith's POV**
I'm driving home from my grandmas house, past the old rundown park. I look over, and am surprised to see someone using the soccer field. I squint to look closer, and frown when I make out the tall figure, his curls swept back in a bandana. I pull in, and get out of the car, rubbing my arms at the chilly, dewy morning. I walk over quietly, not wanting to disturb him, and sit on one of the broken bleachers. Harry is continually kicking the ball into the net, never missing, and I'm in awe of his skill. He doesn't see me, and it have a feeling he won't, not until he's done at least. I hug me knees to my chest for warmth, and watch him. He's amazing.
"He's good, isn't he?"
I jump, and spin around at the voice beside me. I'm surprised to see Louis. "Yeah." I nod.
"I've been trying to get him to join the team for forever now, but he won't."
I didn't know Louis played. "Why not?"
"Not sure, but he's not having it."
I sit beside Louis now, and we watch Harry.
"So I'm assuming you aren't here to harass him onto your team..."
"No." I smile. "I was driving past and I kinda just stopped when I saw him." I'm glad he doesn't ask if we're together, because I have no idea how to answer that.
"How do you know Harry?" He asks.
"Oh. Well we met at the mall that day, and then we ran into each other at a party." I tell the truth.
"Ah. Are you coming to the party Saturday? It's at Zayns place."
"Oh, uh. Maybe." I smile.
We watch in silence now, and I'm still amazed at his skill.
After nine or ten minutes, Harry puts his hands on his knees and takes a few deep breaths, before looking in our direction. He's clearly shocked to find me sitting beside Louis. He walks the other way to grab his water bottle and towel from the grass, before slowly making his way towards us.
Louis stands up, and I follow his lead, heading to meet Harry.
"Hey mate." Louis grins.
"Save it." Harry growls.
Louis raises his hands. "Just saying hi."
"Well don't."
Harrys being a total jerk, and I'm not fond of this side of him.
"Look mate, you don't need to be such an asshole." Louis says, clearly annoyed.
Harry doesn't say anything, only stares at me.
"Hi." I wave.
He doesn't return the gesture. "Why are you here?"
I frown at the hint of panic in his voice, and Louis obviously catches it too. "I was just driving past when I saw you." I explain.
