🎃HALLOWEEN SPECIAL(pt.1)🎃

Urse's POV

"Happy Halloween Urse!" Ben exclaimed happily.

I looked up from my hydrokinesis book. "Is it Halloween already?"

He nodded excitedly. "Yeah, why else would I be wearing this?" He gestured to his outfit.

"Oh, I just thought you were trying out a new look. You look hot." I continued reading my book.

Ben's POV

I lightly blushed, turning my head, much to my discretion. "Yeah? I'm going for,"

She interrupted "An edgy wizard werewolf rockstar."

"Yes, actually." I said dumbfounded. "Urse," I looked back in her direction and she was gone.

"She's gone.."

"Who's gone?" I jumped at the sudden question. She appeared from behind me, smirking. "I don't think I'll ever be use to that." I chuckled.

"Good." Silence fell upon us.

"Seeya." She stated nonchalantly.

"Where are you going?"

"To find a costume I guess." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Well you don't have to do it alone." I replied cheerily.

She rolled her eyes. "Why don't you go worry about your friends."

"But you're," she quickly cut me off. "Just because you're the king or whatever doesn't mean we're friends."

"But I," she interrupted me again. "I don't want to be your friend! Leave me alone!" Her eyes glowed purple and she disappeared.

My smile faltered and I looked down at my shoes, not really knowing how to react.

"Ben!" Jane rushed up to me.

"I've been looking for you everywhere."

"Hi, Jane, what's up?"

"Are you okay?" She questioned her voice full of concern.

"I'm just sleepy.." she gave me that I know you like the back of my hand look, don't you dare try to lie to me. I lightly sighed, "Mal and I are on an indefinite break, I don't think I've made any progress with the new VKs especially Urse, and being King is so much work, everyone expects me to be perfect and not to make any mistakes!"

"Deep breath," I did as she commanded. "For starters Ben, they've uprooted from their home, the isle is all they ever knew and if I were in their shoes I'd definitely feel betrayed by Jay, Carlos, Mal, and Evie. It seems as though they have history together. I wouldn't worry too much about Mal, if things are meant to be, it'll be. Also don't let anyone get in your head, you're not perfect by a long shot,"

"Gee thanks Jane." We chuckled. "What I'm saying is being king doesn't mean you can't make mistakes or that everything has to be perfect. Someone incredible once told me 'You just have to stay true to you, and be the best version of yourself, theres no one else like you.'" I looked up from my shoes and into her eyes.

I promptly squeezed her in a bear hug. "Thank you so much Jane." She warmly smiled. "I'm glad to repay such wisdom that was given to me by my friend."

"I wonder who that was?" I asked sarcastically.

"You might know him." We chuckled together.
