One Direction Infection Has Taken Over the World

Chapter 8

Okay here is a very shortish average update! I just thought getting to 100 fans was an amazing accomplishment and wouldn’t of had it without you all! More to come. Dedicated to Nikki and her Friend who recently had a birthday!

Mercy’s POV

I can’t believe that it has already been a month since I meet the boys and Niall who was now my best friend besides Nikki found out my secret. This also meant that I had to go to the hospital again. Nikki decided that she would go with me to keep me company. They boys were singing to the cancer patients today during my appointment and since I was already more than half way through and Nikki wanted to support Niall she had left a few minutes ago. I think that she and Niall had a thing for each other and I was so happy because Nikki was still heartbroken from her recent break up.

The nurse came in and said that my IV would be done in about ten minutes. I thanked her and went back to listening to music. I guess that it had already been ten minutes because she came back in with all her supplies I was so focused on the needles and wires she was taking out of my arm that I didn’t realize I was gripping the chair so hard the that my knuckles were white.  I felt someone’s hands prying off my fingers and slowly covering them with their hands. I was still staring at my IV even though it was now out and being trashed. The nurse told me to apply pressure with that gauze she was holding out to me. I had to slip my hand out the persons to reach it then made sure to make the bleeding stopped. I was about to ask Niall why he wasn’t with Nikki when the voice that spoke to me surprised me.

“Hey Mercy, you all right?” Zayn’s concerned voice asked.

“Ye…Yeah.” I stuttered. What was he doing here?

“Not the person you were expecting huh?” He asked with a smirk on his face. I looked down and blushed and answered no.

“Well, I have news.” He said.

“I’m moving in with my girlfriend Perrie!” he said.

“That’s great!” I yell and give him a big hug as best I could since I’m so much shorter than him. He laughs and bends down so I can hug him. He said that the boys found a new hotel room that was much nicer, and quitter because the fans didn’t know that they had moved yet.

“Nikki is hanging out with Niall there so I will bring you over there.” I agreed but not wanting to see Liam. I’m sure he didn’t remember the kissed in the rain. I it shouldn’t have happened at all and I feel awful because he has a beautiful and kind girlfriend, and I didn’t want to end that. When we got there I ran over to Nikki and gave her a hug. The boys grouped hugged me but Liam made sure not to touch me. Infact he made no notice of me at all he was just being a jerk. Everyone went about their business and I marveled at how big the hotel room was. Or should I say rooms, it was like an apartment!  Niall suddenly yelled out.

“Nikki! Will you go with me to the photo shoot and camping trip this week? All the boys can bring their girlfriends? Only if you want?” The way he asked was so cute it was like he didn’t expect her to say yes. She glanced my way then back at Niall.

“I would love to! Can I bring Mercy along? She asked. Niall visibly slumped and whispered that he tried to get to bring two people but they wouldn’t let him. My heart sank but when I looked over at Nikki I saw that she really wanted to go so I got ready to lie.

“Nikki you will go and have fun! I will be fine!”  I faked a smile and all the boys looked convinced except for Liam who seemed to see right through my lie. I smiled again and told Niall to tell me everything he planned to do with Nikki. I then started talking to Nikki. When I looked around I noticed that everyone in the room had left. I heard yelling followed by whispering then all the boys came out of the kitchen. Niall was holding an ice cream cone. What? He went over to Nikki and I who were now standing and before he could react Nikki licked his ice cream. Louis also came to my other side. Harry, Zayn, and Liam were across from me.    

“Mercedez.” Zayn started, and I was confused why he used my real name.

“So you looked um….” Niall said.

“Is that a carrot?” Louis said not being able to make eye contact with me.

“We wanted to know if you want to go to the shoot with al…..”Liam.   

“Me.” Harry finished. But his ending was slightly different and I wondered what Liam was going to say. I was shocked.

“Um. I would love to but, wont the press be really suspicious?” I answered back. Nikki’s and the boy’s faces were very puzzled. Then realization dawned on Liam’s face followed by what I thought was anger.

“Mercedez! You don’t honestly think that!” I winced when he said my name.    It was too late to take it back I knew he knew what I meant. I wasn’t in any way good enough for Harry.
