Chapter 10

Mercy Pov

I woke up with a massive neck ache from sleeping. I found my pillow was on the floor next to a sleeping Harry. Wait what was Harry doing sleeping down here? I wasn’t the type of person to wake up early in fact I like to sleep until 10am. I glanced at the watch on Harry’s wrist and saw that it was only five o-clock. I groaned because now that I was up I couldn’t go back to sleep. I got up and looked in their kitchen for some breakfast I decided to make Nutella toast. I remembered that we were going camping tomorrow. I must have been spacing out because when someone patted my shoulder I whipped around and pointed the butter knife I was holding at them.

“Geez! Mercy!” Came Harry’s surprised voice. Without moving the knife pointed in his direction I asked him what I had wondered before.

“Why were you sleeping by the couch when you had a perfectly good bed?”  I asked moving the knife back down to the toast.

“Well um.”

“Spit it out Harry!” I didn’t know why I was being so brave around him; in fact he kind of intimidated me.

“Well you were yelling and talking in you sleep. And then you started to walk around and I didn’t want you to get hurt so I held you down until you stopped, then decided that I would have t watch you to make sure you didn’t do it again, but then I fell asleep.” He said. Right I am a really bad sleep talker and sometimes walker. My face flushed the color of Louis’s red pants. Wait when did Louis walk in?

“Oh look toast, and enough for me!” he said walking more into the kitchen and over to the table.

“That’s mine!” I snatched the plate from him.   

“You weren’t really going to eat all that!” I guess he saw my face when he exclaimed “Mercy oh my gosh you have a huge appetite!” I just nodded my head in agreement.

“Who has a big appetite?” Zayn asked walking in with Liam following close behind.

“Speaking of appetites where is Niall, and Nikki for that matter? Asked Liam.

“Herrrreeeeeeee” Two voices yelled at once. Niall came running in with Nikki on his back and was holding a foam sword. “We have come to abduct the food!” by then I had made twelve pieces of nutella toast. They stole plate then someone started playing It’s Always a Good Time by owl city and Carly Rae Jepson. Everyone started chasing each other trying to get the toast and store bought muffins I had set out. I found two pieces of toast just as Louis came in to the room with Nerf guns. I usually was up for a good fight but for some reason I wasn’t feeling well. Then I remembered it was because I hadn’t taken my pills for my immune system. I crawled under the couch and hugged myself and ate my toast.

Nikki’s Pov

I was having the time of my life but I saw that Mercy wasn’t anywhere I looked under the mattress of the pulled part of the couch and noticed her shaking a little. I realized she was probably beating herself up for not remembering her pills. Then I remembered she had them in her bag. I was going to get them but Niall started kissing me, so I grabbed Liam and told him how he could help me. Then I went back to kissing Niall as Harry squirted us with syrup.

Mercy Pov

I was still mad at myself when Liam snuck under the mattress and handed me my pills and a bottle of water. I took them and decided to give him a piece of my toast. We ate in silence, well aside from the battle cries coming from around us. I think Harry had found Niall and Nikki showing public displays of affection and was punishing them.

“I’m sorry, I kissed you I just really like you.” Liam said turning his head to look at me. Since we were booth sitting down I could finally looked him in the eye.

“No its fine, I um liked it but you have a really nice girl friend and I fell awful. Also how could you tell I was lying the other day?” I asked him getting nervous under his gaze.

“Dani and I, well we had a fight then she broke up with me. Then you looked so sad after Niall started going out with Nikki, and then I realize I just made it worse by kissing you on the roof. Then last night she made up with me when she let me explain everything that happened.” He said trying to read my expression.

“um.” That was all I managed to get out. I didn’t need another friend I needed a boyfriend.

“I’m sorry. I really do care for you and I think your beautiful no matter what people say to you.” He answered.

“I’m sorry Liam I should have never trusted you. I know you didn’t mean to but it was still my first kiss. I think I just need some space I’m sorry can you please just… leave.” I hated how I was so weak in front of him. He left with pain in his eyes. After a couple of moments I hadn’t realized the room had gone quiet. We were leaving at 12am to get to the camping ground so everyone must be packing. The cushion over me sagged and Harry’s upside down face appeared over the edge to look at me.

“Hi.” He said cheekily.

“Go away Harry!” I said not even trying to hide my tear stained face.

“I have to get to know my girl friend don’t i?” he said. I rocked forward and poked his nose.

“Go away!”

“No, I know you know I’m a flirt and a player but I would never hurt you like Liam did.” I was about to do something out of desperation, it wouldn’t mean anything to Harry but to me it was just as important as my first.

“You want to get to know me!” I said. I looked in his eyes and slammed my lips into his. I realized what a bad idea it was his face was upside down and I didn’t know how to kiss. I was about to pull away when his hand stopped me and held my face. He slid off the mattress and pulled me out from under it. He pulled me on to his lap and smiled.

“Know you can tell all those haters that you attractive enough that the Harry Styles wants to kiss you.” I was going to answer but he kissed me again and then turned on the tv and Finding Nemo was on. “I don’t want to take advantage of you Hun.” I just nestled into him realizing it was only 6:30 and I was already packed so I fell asleep against Harry’s chest.

The camping trip and shoot had to wait sorry!
