Joy and Blessings to you and your kin! My name is Caleb Ryan, also known as Sunshine Boy on Wattpad. I'm a budding author in my early 20s, and am currently taking part in the NaNoWriMo event for the first time. I became a Wattpadder on March 18, 2018.

I am also a follower of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah). My wish is to walk in His footsteps, to seek His heart, grow good fruit, be led by the Spirit, and show the Father's love to others. I believe that we, as Gentiles, are grafted into the Kingdom of Israel, and that God will someday reunite the House of Israel with the House of Judah. I also believe that the WHOLE Word is Truth and is applicable to our everyday lives as we live in fear and trembling to walk out our Faith, carrying the crosses that we are tasked to bear for the Messiah's glory, and that the Bible isn't just stories and lessons to listen and read to nor do I believe that the Bible is a simple decoration to be seen but barely read. I believe in standing for my rights as both a Christian and as a citizen of the United States, and to stand for what I believe is morally right, regardless if an army surrounds me or if I'm alone. For with God on my side, who shall I fear, and who shall stand against me?

Be assured that my works will be clean without any cussing, innuendos, graphic torture or abuse, smut, LGBT+, self-harm, and other triggers.

I am the eldest of two, with one younger sister, who is most precious to me and is the most valuable treasure that I've ever been given. I'm part of a family of four. My mom is OnThePotatoeFarm and my sister is TheSmellOfHome . If you wish, I'd appreciate it if you guys could check out her profile and read her works. She's an amazing writer! I'm super proud of her! ^_^

I've been writing since I was 15/16. I wrote off and on before that but it was for schoolwork and didn't really do much with it, and I didn't have the interest at the time. It wasn't until 15/16 that I had the urge to actually write. I began with poetry (hence where my love began), and then eventually started writing stories. My first story I wrote about me and my friends riding horses and having adventures. It was . . . okay, I guess, for my first attempt. Though my mom told me that I couldn't publish it because it was too closely resembling me and my friends, so we radically changed the story about a boy who eventually is forced to move out of the country to Ecuador after a tragedy strikes and is forced to trust God to help him through his ordeal as he adjusts to living in a new world. He eventually makes a couple of foreign friends and they ride horses. It's unofficially called Christian's Conflict.

I had finished with a few chapters before I took a hiatus and began Dragon Wars, a fantasy trilogy that I had begun (it is now planned to be a series). It was heavily influenced by LOTR, Narnia, and the Kingdom Series by Chuck Black. Of course, I hadn't known at the time, and it was very rough, and I was kind of treating it like a movie rather than a book. My mother, God bless her, was patient and kind with me, gently teaching me and letting me do my thing so that I can make mistakes and learn from them -- though it had hurt her to do so. I wrote from 16 1/2 until 18, when my energy and health went down and I became greatly discouraged and took a long hiatus. I did not take up the pen again until I was 22 just last year in the late Summer (September before First Day of Fall) of 2017. God blessed me with the energy and strength to ease back into my writing, though it was a slow process.

As I had done when I had first began writing, I started writing poetry. I've done this for most of the year. When I had felt that I had improved, I felt brave enough to do lullabies and creating writing prompts. Until I finally began actual stories! The Hoof of Providence was the first original work that I had written since Christian's Conflict and Dragon Wars several years ago. I'm quite proud of that one. Wrote it for a Historical Fiction contest March 2018. It was a big hit.

I am so blessed to be a writer and that God has blessed me with my mother's gift. I can only hope that my sister and I will be able to continue that tradition as storytellers for the delight and blessing of all.

I'm a born and raised Midwest man, though my body has inherited its love for the Northwestern climate. Spent a third of my life in Wisconsin and the rest here in Kansas, with short, temporary hiatuses in Georgia and Missouri.

As many of you know, I'm a history buff that just LOVES history! My favorite parts of history are Bible History, American Civil War, Military History, Victorian Era, Classical Era (1920s-1950s), Viking Era, Scot-Irish history, Medieval history, WWII-era, clothes, planes, trains, ships, cars, weapons and armor, uniforms, etc, etc.

My favorite genres to read (as in BOOKS) are Medieval Fantasy, Historical Fantasy, Christian, Historical Fiction (preferably the juvenile/young adult versions, because the adult version have so much junk and inappropriate stuff in it), Poetry, and Short Stories.

I love to read classical poetry and short stories and I love to watch the Classics (movies based on Austen and Dickens and other old-time authors). My most favorite book is Rifles for Watie. I highly recommend that book. Great historical fiction that's super clean and has no impropriety. It's a Civil War story that's staged here in the Midwest.

My favorite movies are LOTR and Narnia, childhood movies held dear to me, as well as the BBC Classics (Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Mansfield Park, Downtown Abbey, Little Dorrit, David Copperfield, The Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, etc), and Gods and Generals, Gettysburg, war films, and many, many others.

I also really enjoy playing strategy games -- whether card games, board games, or video games -- and am always ready to whittle away the hours playing them, even if most everyone else doesn't. So what if the game's a few hours long or more? LET'S PLAY IT! lol XD

For music, I love Scripture-founded songs, hymns, Celtic music, battle music, emotional music, fantasy music, folk music, Civil War songs, and especially lullabies.

I'm a family man that cherishes family and love children. I am happily single and am convicted to make the most of it. I do hope to get married someday and have a large family of my own. However, I have resolved myself to give my life's story over to God, for He is my Creator and the Author of my very existence; I am merely His character. I must let Him decide to write my journey as He sees fit in order to move the plot along. If He sees fit that it does not suit me, as His character in His Book, for me to get married, whether because of my personality, or being of the darkening circumstances of which I have been born into this world, and wants me to be like Jeremiah in the Bible and not have a family because of the heartache it will give me, and wishes me to be like the Prophets who gave their entire lives in service to the Kingdom and their King, then I shall endeavor to do so, if it be His will as my Author and Creator.

If He sees in my journey that I do need a wife and family to help sustain me in these troubling times, may He grant me the strength to be able to carry the heavy burden of responsibility and duty of being a strong, dependable husband and a loving, wise father.

I've been public schooled until 9 3/4 years of age, then from the second-half of 4th grade until graduation I was homeschooled. I graduated with full honors and an A student. I had an opportunity to go to college with a scholarship, but I had decided to not go to college because of the steep prices for just one semester alone, not to mention having to be forced to get a student loan and end up being in debt. I didn't want that. I am being apprenticed by my mother to become a professional writer. And probably some other occupation. I am currently a co-caregiver with my sister as we try to help mom recover from her stroke she suffered from in the Late Summer of 2013.

I think that's all that I can think of at the moment. I'll be updating this as time flies past us. Thank you for your time and I hope that you have a blessed weekend.

Stay Sunny! ^_^

Shalom and Agape,

- Caleb Ryan (aka Sunshine Boy)
