Hello, my fellow Sun Puppers! Well, it's finally happened: half of 2019 is already done and over with, without a proper adieu, and I'm just standing there gaping like a fish out of water wondering where the time has gone -- and I have done very little this year on account of the constant storms sapping my energy and health *glares at Mother Nature*.
Thankfully, Mother Nature seems to think that two months of constant rain was enough and decided to give us a couple of days of actual, honest-to-goodness sunshine and blue skies! And here I was thinking that I'd never see it this Spring. lol XD
I was able to go on a couple of walks and the weather was beautiful! Comfortable temps with a cool breeze blowing through and warm sunshine to bask in. However, I have a feeling that the storms will only come back soon. It's hilarious, this is probably the wettest Spring I've ever witnessed since living in Kansas. In fact, I'll even give it first place over the autumn rains, which can get equally wet as the Spring. But I've never experienced an entire season of almost constant rain. I was beginning to think if I had suddenly been transplanted by the Father and was put in a rainforest without me knowing it. lol XD
Anyway, enough about my rants about bad weather. Back to the topic at hand. It's getting close to the beginning of summer -- a time where you're free from the bonds of school (aka prison) or homeschool (aka home) and get almost an entire season of fun, relaxation, and plenty of opportunities to be productive with one's writing.
However, for a lot of people, that can just as easily end up in a season just as busy as any other season. But, if you're resourceful enough, you can make an opportunity out of any length of time or happenstance.
While I unfortunately haven't been able to get a lot of the goals that I had wanted to get done in May -- much less Spring as a whole -- I do have hopes to be able to make up for it this summer.
There's probably not going to be a lot going on for me on here, but there are a couple of things that I would like to get done this month:
The first thing is that I'm making plans on rewriting The Hoof of Providence and turning it into an actual story. I'm planning on this being one of my summer projects. For those of you who have read the flash fiction and would love to see an expanded version of this story, keep a sharp eye out in the next few months.
The second thing is that my mom and I are planning on co-writing a devotional book about the Parables as another summer project. Plan on getting it done before the summer's over. We also plan on writing an actual book for us to publish so that we can start making some money (and so that I can have an actual honest-to-goodness income).
The third thing is that I'm making plans on creating a new poetry book. The one that I have now was more student poetry than professional poetry that I had written as school assignments. I'm planning on editing them, as well as creating a new poetry book in the near future as yet another summer project.
The fourth thing is that I've been changing some of my covers to make them more professional looking. There were a couple that were a bit low-quality that I'm trying to fix. Once I'm done with that, I'll show them to you in an update chapter. ^_^
The final item on the docket is that I'm planning on taking a break from Wattpad for a month. This month's going to be busy for me and I really need to focus on my writing, instead of getting distracted by Wattpad. So I'm probably not going to come back until sometime around the beginning of July. See you guys next month. Unless the Father decides to tuck me to bed 'fore then.
So yeah, as I've said, I'm not going to be doing much on Wattpad this month. Most of the stuff I'm going to be doing is going to be off of the computer -- or, at the very least, off of Wattpad.
Thank you, guys, for understanding, and I hope that you guys have had a great and productive May, and I hope that June will be a wonderful opportunity for you to have fun with your families and be productive with your writing.
How was your May? What did you guys do? Did you get anything done that you're happy or proud of doing?
❤ I love you guys! ❤
God Bless and Stay Sunny! ^_^
