I SANK MY HEAD into my pillow trying to muffle out the sounds of my phone's ringtone. I knew it was probably my best friend, so I decided to just ignore him. Except that he didn't really get the message and wouldn't stop calling.
"What the hell, Sam?! It's fucking Sunday, what do you want?" I angrily said, rolling my eyes when I heard his stoner laugh on the other end.
"Someone's grumpy. Bet that hungover is really kicking in." He chuckled again.
"What do you want?" I repeated myself through gritted teeth, ready to hang up on him.
"I'm coming over to pick you up. I expect you to be ready in twenty minutes, alright?" He simply said, making me shake my head.
"Excuse me? Why? Are we going somewhere?" I sat up in bed, feeling the pounding in my head and regretting ever drinking that much last night.
"Yeah, you said you'd come over to watch me and the boys rehearse."
"Oh, yeah. I did say that." I made my way towards the bathroom to wash my face. "But when I said that I didn't know I was going to get shitfaced and getting this horrible hangover."
"I'll bring you an Advil or something."
"And?"
"A Starbucks?"
"And?"
"A donut. But only if you're ready when I get there!"
"Sold! I'll see ya in a bit." I threw my phone on my bed and hopped in the shower.
Twenty minutes later, Sammy was parked outside of my house with a Starbucks in one hand and a bag of donuts on the other. I made my way towards him and smiled widely when I noticed it.
"You really are the world's best best friend, aren't you?" I hugged him tightly once I reached him and took the items out of his hands, downing a pill of Advil as soon as I got a hold of it.
"I really am. You ready to go, little maniac?" He chuckled once he saw my face full of donut powder as I excitedly nodded.
The way towards his house was filled with music, chatting and laughs. Sam asked about the party I was at the night before and made fun of me when I couldn't remember some parts of the evening. It didn't take long enough for us to reach his place as he parked in front of a beautiful house. I unbuckled my seat belt and made my way out of his car, still chatting with him.
"You go ahead and I'll be back in a sec, okay?" Sam said and I nodded, making my way towards his garage, where the boys usually rehearsed.
"The party girl has arrived!" Josh's voice boomed through the garage once I stepped inside it. I chuckled and made my way towards him.
"Hello, Joshua." I yelped a little when he engulfed me into a tight hug, lifting me off the floor.
"Hey, Y/N!" I looked behind me once Josh put me back down and saw Danny coming towards us.
"Hi, Danny!" I gave him a tight hug too.
"Are you feeling better? Sam said you had a bad hangover."
"Yeah, I'm alright. He's a good friend and got me Advil and some coffee." I chuckled lightly. And then my eye caught Jake messing with his hair in the back of the room. I felt my heart rush and the blood boil in my cheeks. And then I remembered an important part of the night before. Or a rather embarrassing part.
You see, I always had a thing for Jake, which wasn't ideal since he was older and my best friend's brother and just way out of my league. But all of that didn't seem to matter when I downed all those shots and went up to him. Needless to say it didn't really go well, so now I was really embarrassed and just wanted to disappear.
