*Dimitri POV*
It's been two days since Rose was moved from the ICU. I haven't left her side since. I don't know why I care so much. We were never friends. It was like we hated each other.
I hadn't slept in 12 hours hoping that Rose would wake soon. My eyelids kept drifting shut, then I faded into unconsciousness.

Four hours later
BEEP....BEEP....BEEP
I woke to the steady beeping sound of roses heart monitor.
BEEP....BEEP...BEEP..BEEP
the beats were getting faster and faster then I heard
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
She was flat lining. I was panicked so I ran the closes nurse station.
"Nurse! Rosemarie Mazur-Hathaway is flatlining in room 703." I call out. I see some nurses get up and run to roses room, I try to go in but I'm stopped by one of the nurses.
"Sir, I need you to wait out here, while we revive her."
"But that's my wife." I exclaim.
"We know sir! Just let us do our jobs okay?"
"Okay."
I turned around and took out my phone.
"Hello?" A tired voice answered on the other end of the line.
"It's Ross... She's flatlining."
"What?"
"The nurses are doing everything they can."
"I'll be down there in ten minutes."
"See you then."
When I turn around to go into Roses room I see that Eddie guy, standing there with flowers looking worried. I walk over to him.
"What's going on?" he questions.
"She's flatlining." I say worriedly.
He looks shocked. Without a word he walks in the room. He gets stopped by the same nurse.
"Please, she's my sister!" he exclaims.
"Please sir. wait."
There was a gasp of air in the room and Eddie storms in there. I follow after him but am stopped again.
"Just let me in. She's my wife!" I see Eddies head whip towards me, in a look of shock. I was confused to why he was shocked. All I said was she's my wife. Wait. She's not my wife. Why'd I say that?
Then I heard a steady beep. I ran in there. She was okay thank god! After all the nurses filled out I sat back in my usual spot. Eddie and I were sitting in a awkward silence.
"Why'd you call rose your wife?" He asks.
"I'm not really sure, it just kinda slipped." I say truthfully.
"Well, just don't hurt her okay, or else I'll get arrested for beating you to a pulp too." He says quietly.
"When did you get arrested for beating someone up?"
"Yesterday."
"Who'd you beat up?" I ask.
"The idiot Adrian Ivashkov. It's his fault rose is in this coma." He says with venom and disgust dripping off his words.
"How so?"
"Rose caught Adriab fucking some blonde bimbo and she ran out crying. If she wasn't upset she would've seen who the hell hit her and blocked it."
I was speechless. Then Abe came running into the room.
"Is she okay?!" He asks frantically
"Yeah they revived her." I say.
"That's great. So Eddie heard you just got out of jail."
"Yeah just beat up some low life that broke roses heart."
He says staring at rose a small smile spreads across his face.
"That's not what I heard. You didn't just beat him up, you broke his nose, three of his ribs, two fingers, and threatened to cut off his manhood... Well done son." Abe says patting Eddie on the back.
Eddie chuckled a bit, while I was speechless.
After they left I stayed with rose.

Two days later.
I was sitting by Roses bed. It was about one o'clock in the afternoon. When she started to stir. I was overjoyed. Then her eyes flutterd open revealing her deep brown eyes.
"Rose." I say and lightly take her hand.
"Di...Dimitri? What are you doing here?" She asks, her voice hoarse and raspy. I lean over and grab a cup of water from beside her bed and hand it to her.
"Thank you." she takes the cup and drinks it all.
"So what are you doing here?" she says her voice soft like silk.
"What do you mean? I haven't left since you came here."
"Really?" she asks confused.
"What?" I ask confused.
"Well, I'd expect that from Eddie or Vika, your the last person I expected to see when I woke up."
"Why is that?"
"I don't know. it just seems like we don't get along." She said nonchalantly.
"Well, we are going to be married soon."
"So?"
"So, I think I love you."
"What?! Did I wake up in some parallel universe." She asks rubbing her eyes.
"No, I just didn't realize that until you died." I said slowly.
"I died?"
"Yeah for about three minutes. I kept telling the nurse you were my wife." I said chuckling to myself.
