Chapter six: Shot

Dimitri POV

When I got home I got changed in a rush so I could get back to my Roza. hmm my Roza I like it. I thought to myself as I left the house.

When I got to the hospital I got in the elevator and pressed the button. when I got on the floor I heard a sickening bang from a gun and ran to Rozas room. when I got there I saw Tasha holding a gun aiming it at Roza. I saw Roza holding a pillow that was quickly turning red with blood. I panicked slightly. Then I stepped into action, I apprehended Tasha and as I was taking her out Roza called out.

"Hey Tasha, when I get out if here I shouldn't be able to find you. got it? you know how I know I'm going to live through this? I always live and if I ever see your ugly face near my husband again, you won't live to see the next day got it. oh by the way your aim sucks." Then she blacked out.

I grinned. I was happy. she called me her husband! I can't believe she did that! Then I took Tasha out after calling out to the nurses saying she was shot.

I took out my phone and called the police. they arrived soon after taking Tasha.

I was sitting in her room waiting for her to get out of surgery. Abe bursted in through the door looking worried.

"Dimitri what happened?" He asked with concern.

"Tasha came and shot Rose." when I said that Abe calmed a bit.

Then he smiled. I looked at him confused.

"Oh you don't know Rose. She probably wanted Tasha to shoot her. She looks at this as a game. She probably provoked Tasha to use the gun on her. She looks down a barrel of gun and smiles. She likes to see if she can make people break. It's like her strategy when staring into a barrel of a gun. Sure she gets shot.....a lot. I remember when she first got shot. She was probably about fourteen or fifteen. and-" she was cut off by Eddie coming into the room.

"What are you talking about?" He asked interested.

"The time rose got shot." Abe said amused.

"Which time?" Eddie asked grinning.

"The first time. you were there weren't you?" Abe asked trying to clear the details in his head.

"Yeah. We were kidnapped by a gang called the Rogue Dhampires. What a weird name I was thinking."

"Eddie why don't you tell Dimitri the story. You probably remember it better."

"That I do. so it was a week into summer. rose and I were both fifteen at the time. When this black SUV. I can't remember why we got in the car, but they were using rose as a way to get to Abe. We were tied to there rickety old chairs. Anyways they pointed a gun on her and she started laughing. They looked at her like she was crazy. I had no idea what she was doing. naturally they asked her why she was laughing. And I couldn't believe what she said. She said that the gun was fake. In order to prove her wrong they shot the celling. She then began saying Things that royally pissed them off. I didn't know until the end that her phone was on speaker with her father. Then right before her father and his guards came to get us they, they shot her in the side, probably just to shut her up. Then right before she blacked out she'd made a threat." He said fondly, throughout the story.

We were talking when a nurse came in with rose in a wheelchair. She was smiling. Eddie and I got up to help her into the bed. after the nurse left we all just stared at her with expectant looks.

"Ugh...You want me to tell you the story don't you. I mean the real story." We all nodded.

"Okay. well this morning Dimitri here" she said gesturing to me with her hand. "broke it off with her because of his newly found feelings for me. anyway I was expecting her anyways. so I decided to send vika and Eddie boy here away so I could fight this battle alone, as usual. Because that's how I fight. So while I waited I was catching up on work on my phone. Looking up when I heard footsteps. 'I was wondering when you were going to show up Tasha.' I said not looking up from my phone. Then I heard the gun cock. I look up and she's pointing it at me. 'Really Tasha pulling a gun at an unarmed defenseless girl?'" Eddie snorted when she said that. "I asked her amused by the fact that she was here pointing a gun at me. 'shut up bitch.'she snarled and I tried so hard not to laugh. 'oh come on you can be more creative than that can't you?' I said encouraging her. I'm used to staring down the barrel of a gun. I smirked. 'why the hell are you smirking? your going to be dead within five minutes.' She threatened me. She make some pretty idiotic choices. I have no idea what you saw in her." She say turning to face me. I then said to her 'oh I know it's so exhilarating. I like to see if they'll actually shoot. Like if I press the right pressure points to piss them off enough. Like how when I woke up to day, Dimitri told me when I woke up?'I asked amused about how she was trying to scare me. 'guess what? I. don't. care.' She said slowly as if she was talking to a child. 'Listen if your gonna come in here and threaten me with a gun, then were gonna do. it. my. way.' I said slowly like she did to me. 'Follow my rules and I'll let you shoot me. So you want to know what he said to me when I woke up?' I asked again, smirking. 'What?!' she growled. 'He told me that he was in love with me. He was so sweet and he stayed by my side the entire time. oh and vika said that he was begging me to wake up.' I said with a triumphant smile. 'Bullshit. He doesn't beg for anyone.' 'We he did for me. Face it I mean more to him than you.' I said disgusted by her behavior. Then a loud bang echoed through the room. I used my fast reflexes to take the pillow from behind my back and double it over my chest. then I felt a burning sensation, then someone burst through the door. it was Dimitri. he took hold of Tasha and started to take her out. then I called out."

She was smirking at me cause she knew I knew she called me her husband.

"Hey Tasha, when I get out if here I shouldn't be able to find you. got it? You know how I know I'm going to live through this? I always live and if I ever see your ugly face near my husband again, you won't live to see the next day got it.' And if course no one comes to me threatens me and doesn't get some kind of insult so I picked what I thought was "appropriate" and said  'oh by the way your aim sucks.' then I blacked out." There was silence then they all burst out laughing.

"Wow Rosie I cannot believe you called your self an 'unarmed defenseless girl'." Eddie choked out in between laughs.

"Yeah I know it was like the time mase  told Ralf that I didn't know how to defend myself, and then Ralf came over to me ands slapped my ass. I look over to find you and mason trying so hard not to laugh. I made my typical threat, when he didn't believe me I broke his nose and maybe his stmmmm." She said the last part muffled.

"What was that Rosie? Don't want to tell them?" he smiled at her.

"I might've broke his sternum. And that landed me in Kirovas office and probation." Her and Eddie smirked at each other.

"Oh Rosie tell them about the time with Jesse." Eddie said.

"But I don't want to I already told that story this morning." she whined.

"But that look on your face is forever seared into my memory." Eddie said laughing again.

"No but there was no need for that teacher to throw him across the room."

"Yeah but your face was priceless. If I didn't know any better he totally had thing for you girl." Eddie said with a girl voice. rose and I burst out laughing.

"when I get out us three are going to go out for drinks and share stories, before we get married. Because after you hear some of these stories, I don't think you'll want to marry me any more." She joked.

Eddie and I agreed quickly. "Oh Comrade you should bring a friend of yours too and we'll share stories if our high school days." She said smiling.

I already knew exactly who I was going to invite. after Abe and Eddie left it was just rose and I in the room.  I was reading a western and she a magazine.

"Hey rose?" I say putting the book mark in my book.

"Hmm" she hummed. not looking up from her magazine.

"I was thinking since we're getting married in a month, that we should.....um......sleep together." I said. she put her magazine down and looked me in the eye.

"What kind of sleep?" she asked concerned.

"No...nononono. I wasn't talking about sex. just sleeping in the bed." I said clarifying.

"Oh... Okay. Yeah I'd like that." After her answer a nurse came in to discharge her.

Then I took her home and she said she'd come to my house with clothes and she'd cook for us. Then I headed home to clean up.
