A/N I drew this guys! Its not that great but i like it :3.
Mark watched from the outside of the improved round pen as Aurora prepared to mount Dean for the first time. She patted his neck and made sure the reins were nice and loose on his neck. She didn't want to put any pressure on his sensitive mouth or nose. With a deep breath, she put her foot in the saddle and swung her leg over the horse. He started and leapt sideways a good few inches. Aurora stuck to him and was slightly jostled. She quickly started to soothe him. "Easy D, it's okay." Cooing this while stroking his neck and shoulders seemed to calm him enough and she waited a couple of minutes for him to calm down before she dismounted.
"Thank you for watching Mark. Even though i didn't need you after all." Aurora said with a chuckle as she made them both sandwiches for lunch.
"It wasn't a problem, hey since you're off tonight, wanna go see a movie?"
Aurora grinned, "Of course!" Then she hesitated. "Its gonna have to be late tonight, Kaitlin is dropping Watson at six."
Mark just smiled and nodded.
At six a small two horse trailer pulled into her driveway and down to the barn. Aurora was waiting and thanked Kaitlin as she unloaded the grey gelding. Watson, upon realizing his favorite rider was there, whinnied and snuffled her pockets in search of treats.
Mark gently took the lead and led the gelding into the barn, past Dean in his corral. Dean threw his head up and followed as far as the fencing would allow him.
