Some tips:
- - Get used to your working space. When you’re on PX (pixlr) or PS (photoshop), you have always your default working space. Arrange your panels, do new shortcuts and adjust your tools, because it’ll help you a lot.
- - Learn shortcuts. At first, I thought this was just another whatever, until I found out how tedious it was to go and click and open new panels instead of simply putting Ctrl + blah to do something. It makes it faster and easier once you get the hang of it. Why you gotta interrupt what you’re doing just to open a panel to put the last filter you used, instead of simply clicking Ctrl + F? (this is an actual PS shortcut to put the last filter used).
- Try new things and play around. Take time to do a practice every day using new tools and new filter you never used before. Instead of using the motion blur for text, why don’t you try the Gaussian blur? Believe me when I say that playing around with tools helps tons.
- Ask people for critiques and useful tips. New tips can help you out with things you once thought were difficult. Critiques help you improve. Ask different critiques from different people on everything you doubt. Ask questions, don’t be shy!
- Watch tutorials, videos and stalk livestreams. With each one of these, you see what people do and try it yourself. (stalking livestreams helps, really.)
- Join forums, groups, threads and competitions. They all help to improve and learn something new.
- You need good resources to work with. Don’t you ever use a pixilated picture for a graphic, even if the requester asked for it. Don’t. The quality of your work will be decreased, because the appearance will be a mess, it’ll be unappealing. Unless you’re a genius and you manage to pull it off, I honestly will go through your screen and give you a hug and beg you to teach me. Always check the quality of the resources you’re working with.
--- Hullo guys c: I paired up with a few designers to make this idea into a thread, since it'll be easier and such. So well this will be mostly some things that I won't put in the thread and yada yada lol. Anyways, I hope I helped!
