ONE: BISH, PLEASE, YOU ARENT THE GODDAMN POPE
(meh first MDC rant. Be scared)
If you have ever had to do someone’s request, you will have, should have and would have experienced this type of person. They ignore every little thing you say, they aren’t patient and, most of all, and they think they are the pope.
I’m not kidding. They seriously, legitimately think they are the pope and that the world should bow down to them.
And my reaction to this is “yeah, hi there. Um, get your head out of your ass, put your high horse back in its stable and turn your attitude down a few notches. Okay?”
Like, come on. We have lives. I know. Shocking. Run for the hills ladies (and possibly gents). We have hell (I mean school), we have friends (kind of hard to believe) and we have families we have to look after etc.
Now, not a lot of people stand up to these type of people. They take it lying down and do what the person wants you to do. And all that does is encourages them to do it again cause they know that if they act like the bloody queen of England, they will get what they want.
You might be wondering ‘how do I tell these people apart from everyone else?’ Well, that’s why I am here.
Think of it like this. Your thread is your house, your home. The people you work with in the thread are your family. Your requesters are visitors, and like any household, your house/thread has rules. What usually happens when someone breaks a rule? They get punished.
Now, I’m not saying stalk the person who broke the rules in your thread, go to their house and hit them upside the head, okay. Cause that is just wrong. But you have to make sure you remind them of the rules.
PUSHY PEOPLE EXAMPLE NUMBER ONE:
So, some one has requested at your thread. You accept their request, and about thirty minutes later, they tag you in a post saying, “Oh, I don’t mean to sound pushy but is my cover/banner/whatever done yet?”
That is the first mistake. Girl, you sound pushy. Like, it has been thirty minutes. Covers and stuff don’t just appear out of thin air. For me, it takes me a minimum of two hours to get a cover done, and sometimes a maximum of four.
PUSHY PEOPLE EXAMPLE NUMBER TWO:
Everyone hates request whores. Everyone. Nothing is more infuriating than a request whore.
Wattpad definition:
Request whore (n.)
Synonyms – request slut
Someone who requests a cover with the title “Unicorns Rock” at one thread, then a couple minutes later, requesting a cover with the title “Unicorns Rock” at a completely different thread.
If you are a request whore and you are reading this, stop being a request whore. It’s degrading to both of the designers you requested from, it rude and it’s frustrating. I know you might want to get two different outcomes for a cover, but there is this thing called waiting. Or denying your other request if it is taking too long.
So, basically, your thread is your home. Would you let someone disrespect you or your family in your home? Answer: no. So don’t let people do it in your thread.
And remember, starting unnecessary fights is wrong and when you do, you are stooping down to their level. Be the better person.
(Gosh, I sound like such an adult)
