Chapter 3
(lots of switching between characters here. I wanted to get the full thing with three different people)
Paul
Everyone fell silent when Emily walked in, followed by a sulking Mitch and lead by a grinning Herobrine. He teleported to his throne on the side, spreading his arms out in welcome.
"Welcome to the first duel! Our contestors, Rythian, vs, Emily! Who will win? Who will die? Who is better at magic?" Herobrine said. Chim looked so excited, his multicolored eyes gleaming at the sight of magic. Emily stepped into the arena. It was like Pokemon, with the two platforms.
Chim
AHHH MAN! I'm so excited for this. I saw Emily's necklace glow blue as she made a shield around her. Fortune for her, she pulled up the shield just in time to deflect a rain of lightning.
"YOU WANT TO PLAY THAT WAY?" Emily said. Rythian grinned. His eyes turned red with glee, letting his magic take over. Emily rained lighting at him, continuing it for a couple minutes as Rythian struggled to keep up his shield. Emily laughed.
But then, Rythian pulled off a dark hole, and shot it at her. It knocked her flat on the ground. She got up, bruising. I knew this was serious. So serious that Emily had to win. Suddenly, the whole box turned black. Eternal darkness spell. Gotta love it.
Emily
I struggled deep down not to let my eyes turn. NO! I silently screamed. But, try as I might, I couldn't get rid of the darkness with my necklace. I stood up straight, letting my eyes glow with power. I felt mighty, like a dragon. I made a small light globe in my hands, feeling it expand and expand until there was no more dark. Rythian growled.
Paul
I thought Emily was a goner when Rythian casted that darkness spell, as Chim told me. But, the dark went away and the light came out of Emily's hand. She stood up straight, not a blemish on her body. The creepy thing, when Emily let loose her powers, her eyes glowed white. Like Herobrine. I looked to him. He was amused, like his suspicians about her were correct. Crap. Emily suddenly started making clouds, which turned black fast. Lightning hit Rythian. It was loud, and fast, constant. The whole box flashed with light. The one thing you could see was Emily, she was smiling a Herobrine smile. Wait, they looked alike. Her and Herobrine looked alike. Really alike.
Emily stopped the thunder and the lightning. She held out her hands, a ball of darkness growing. It got very big, like the size of a melon. Mmm. Yum. She thrust her hands out, sending the dark ball out towards Rythian. He was crouching on the ground, shaking. His shield wasn't up. As it connected with Rythian, Emily looked away, her eyes red again. She was shaking, crying. I looked to Rythian, but there was no one to look at. He was gone. All that was left was his ninja mask. Herobrine clapped.
"Bravo! Bravo! Emily is our winner!" Emily continued to cry. She walked over to Rythian's platform and picked up his mask. She held it in her hands. Finally, she levitated it with her magic. Her necklace was blinding.
Chim got up first. "That was the best comeback I've seen yet!" He yelled. Emily looked down, away from all of the shocked eyes that looked at her eyes. She glared at Herobrine.
"WHY DID YOU MAKE ME DO THAT? YEAH I WANTED A CHALLENGE, BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO REVEAL IT!" She screamed, her face streaked with tears, like last time. Herobrine smirked.
"They needed to know. Plus, Rythian is gone, which means my work here is done. With Rythian. Why don't you explain Emily, why your eyes turn like mine?" Herobrine said, glancing down at the others. He got up and teleported to Emily's side. I realized Herobrine was taller than her. He put his arm around her shoulder. She looked up. Herobrine smiled down at her, not his normal creepy smile. One that looked like he cared about her well being. And that's what creeped me out more.
"Fine." She grumbled. He pat her back. "That's it, Emily." He said. Emily looked up, her eyes white with holding the mask up for so long.
"You see, when I was young, very young, like 2, Herobrine wanted to see my powers. Usually, my eyes would turn purple when I preformed magic, all the time. My father at the time had an arguement with Herobrine. That night, after Herobrine had left, he cursed my father and I. When our magic was preformed, our eyes would turn white. A reminder. Never to mess with him. My father didn't want to be seen like that. He crafted magical necklaces, so that the necklace would preform the power for simpler spells. What I did at the end, well, my necklace couldn't just do that alone. I needed the full force of my magic. And I used it." Emily said. "They just glow whiter when I put more power into it. It sucks." Herobrine smiled.
"That's what happens to me too. On the last part. My eyes glow even whiter when I preform magic." Herobrine explained, showing she wasn't the only one. "And Chim, you turn into your witchy self when you do spells like what Emily did, do you not?" Chim nodded. "You are correct." Chim smiled, as if he was remembering something. A memory.
I was overwhelmed with this. Emily never told me about this. I knew Herobrine had been a big part of her life, but I didn't realize he was literally APART of her life. She always has that reminder, that she has a part of Herobrine in her magic.
Chim looked up from his trance. "I have a question. When I preformed a simple aura spell, Herobrine, yours was black. Emily, yours was purple. And Rythian's was red. So, why do your eyes glow white, Herobrine, when your aura was black?" Chim asked, soaking in every word Herobrine would say.
"Well, when Notch created me as his brother, my soul was black already. It just so happened that my eyes turned white in the process. If I used magic when I was in another form, they would turn black. But, since my eyes are restricted so much the only thing I can do is go whiter, well, there's no room for black." He said. Chim looked impressed. "That is pretty cool!" Chim said excitedly. Herobrine chuckled.
"Alright. Enough of this. Everyone to bed, except for Emily and Paul, please. Stay here, Em and Paul." He said. The group grumbled out. Paul walked down the stands to where Emily and Herobrine were standing side by side. Emily's eyes still were glowing white as she continued the magic holding the mask.
"You know, you could always hold that." I pointed out. Emily puffed. "And wheres the fun in that?" She said, smiling. Herobrine frowned. With Emily and Herobrine standing side by side, I really could see the similarties.
Same brown hair, same stature, Herobrine was just a little taller than Emily. Also, the same long legs. They were really alike in so many ways(that I obviously couldn't explain). Herobrine's personality was one of 'dont mess with me' while Emily's was bright and happy, until you made her mad.
"Has anyone told you, Emily, that while you hold magic you look like Herobrine's little sister or something like that?" Emily growled. "Yeah, I've heard it before." Paul laughed. "You sound like Jerome!" We started cracking up. Herobrine looked confused. That made me laugh harder.
"So what do you need, Herobrine?" Emily asked. Herobrine coughed. Could he get sick, I wondered. "Well, since Emily released her new found powers to the rest of us to see, well, I need her to be protected." This shocked me. Protected!? Asked by Herobrine too. "She's too powerful, plus, well, I owe her a few favors." Emily nodded. I was still shocked as I nodded a yes. Herobrine clapped his hands together. "Great! Now you two go along, have fun, and don't die tonight!" He said as we headed for the stairs. I was panting when I got up to the second floor to see Emily off. We walked to her door, where she said Good Night, and shut the door. Wow. I headed off to the c wing, grumbling. I walked into my room and fell asleep.
A/N: That was....um... fun?
Emily has a deeper past than you might think.
And lemme say this, this is my minecraft character, not me. No, I cannot do magic. I wish I could though.
And one more thing, I'll post this on Mondays IF I GET A CHAPTER DONE THE WEEK BEFORE!
Cheers!
