In the Imperial College.

Angelize exceptional looks attracted a lot of unwanted male attention. It went without saying she was gorgeous. She could be outrightly regarded as the number one beauty of the college. However, for Angelize, it was only a bother.

Although she avoided trouble by being modest with her outfits and always keeping a large hoodie to cover up her face, nevertheless a beauty like her couldn't be always kept shrouded.

Those who were ignorant of the enchantress hiding under the hoodie and those who were too hypocritical to recognize her exceptions, impassively characterized her as a creep.

Because she never spoke to anyone unless necessary. Sitting at the inconspicuous corner, her face was always covered with a hood and a pair of ear-plugs simply severed her from the outside world. It seemed like she had no interest in socializing.

What about socializing? She simply had no interest in life!

How wrong they were.

"Hey Angelize, lets go to cafeteria together!", Sarah exclaimed cheerfully.

Students had rather unapproved looks over their face. Why did Sarah need to mingle with that freak?

Angelize knew the answer. Simply because Sarah was at the end of the food chain. She was a commoner with no noble origin after all. So naturally there was a narrow range of students willing to befriend her. And all other middle-class students would prefer to fawn around a rich than mingling with someone of same status to make connections.

Angelize smiled at her.

Sarah was different.

Angelize ignored her in the beginning, owing to her restrained personality but it seemed like Sarah had no intentions of conceiving the implementations of body language. However as time went by, unconsciously Angelize heart warmed up to her. So she let her tag along with her.

She was a bubbly, charismatic and lively person. She was like a breath of fresh air in her dull life when Angelize could actually feel like a normal teenager around her.

But Sarah had a flaw. She was a bit naive and over-emotional.

Perhaps her immature and artless nature was the reason she was so straightforward and never felt the need to form connections with rich students.

As for Angelize, she had an advantage that she had not to be paired up with some random despicable riche for the group projects that occurred frequently. Specially when previous pairing with Zayden had resulted in such a vexing outcome.

"Sure", Angelize replied warmly.

In the cafeteria, Angelize ate quietly as Sarah continued her chatter non-stop. Occasionally Angelize would say a word or two.

Going to college might have been her dream once but now these students looked so superficial and artificial to her. They had no idea what existed beyond the safe haven of their homes, the rules of streets, the laws of jungle and the requirements of survival. They had no idea how delicate and little there life was. Just like the vulnerable flame of a candle in a stormy night. Gradual accumulation of hostile experiences had matured her a lot.

She had lost her innocence.

What would you choose?

Knowledge to attain the depth of character and lose solace of heart in the struggle.

Or an ignorant, idle but a peaceful life?

Nevertheless, in case of Angelize, she never had a chance to choose. And now she was no longer that buoyant girl she once was.

Her past left deep marks on her.

Once she stood to leave the cafeteria, a small diary fell from the pile of books within her arms. It got unnoticed by her as well as the most of the cafeteria.

However, after a while someone picked up that diary. It was a student of the same age as Angelize or perhaps an year older. He looked very handsome in the dark blue college uniform. He had a fair complexion and smooth soft hair of golden blond texture and equally piercing blue eyes.

He had rather a firm and lean stature and an exotic grace of character. His temperament was calm and incisive, one of the kind that could give a person a feeling of fresh rays of sunshine after a long lasting snowfall.

A pair of spectacles added even more charm to his features. With his refined disposition, he stood tall in the circle of other college students. His features isolated him as the most striking youth.

His long beautiful fingers opened the small dairy.

"Angelize Lockheart", once reading the name of the owner, his lips curled up into a charming smile.

Once grabbing some books from the library, Angelize made her way to the exit through those long corridors. Sarah was walking beside him, gossiping non-stop.

Angelize was never interested in college affairs however her chatter was better than an awkward silence. It also gave her some information about the powerful people in the college, their status and family relations. It might not seem important to her now but it might come handy in the future.

Yes! And Sarah knew everything.

Angelize had to make a stop at her locker to grab some books and to place other books there. But she didn't know was that a disaster awaited her there.

Once she opened her locker, she heard a astounded gasp from Sarah.

"A-Angelize...", Sarah whispered. Her voice was trembling.

Angelize turned to see Zayden with two of his minions cornering them.

He had his famous arrogant sneer as he stood tall confidently.

What a douche! He actually has the shamelessness to bully girls.

Sarah grabbed Angelize hand and tried to run out of panic only to be roughly pushed against the wall once again

"Its been three days Angelize. It seems you didn't take my warning seriously", Zayden said with disdain. Arrogance dripping from his each word.
