Her concentration was directed to that casual looking man in the second row. His outfit and demeanor was obviously blending him in background. But one needs an incisive perception to discern.

Angelize didn't look at him directly. Her eyes were close and her appearance gave an impression of nonchalance. She had spotted that man once but never suspected a thing. Twice could still be a coincidence. But thrice should never be overlooked.

He was clearly following her and not in a clumsy manner rather in an excessively vigilant manner.

Meaning he was a professional.

But why would someone hire a professional for her sake?

Her heart trembled as a chill swept across her. Images of her horrible past flashed across her closed eyes and left her desolated. Horror crept into her heart.

At that moment, she couldn't think of anyone other than them who would hire someone for her.

Could it be them?

Had they found about her whereabouts?

She has successfully hidden herself from them for three years. Now there should not be anymore. If she has come so far, she must not give up now. She shook off her fear and her eyes opened with a new determination solidifying within her.

She will not submit to her fate.

She must get rid of that man before he notifies them about her whereabouts.

That day, she left the bus at an unaccustomed point. The footpath was full of people. Like she predicted, the man followed her, cautious to maintain a good distance between them. Between the throng of pedestrians it was almost impossible to spot him.

But time to time Angelize kept throwing side glances at him in a subtle manner. These were slums. Angelize was familiar to the maze of alleys. She entered the deeper parts until pedestrians were reduced to few and far between. She could still hear careful footsteps behind her at a distance.

And then, at a turn she pressed her back against the wall and waited for that man. The man tried to be as quiet as possible as he neared the turn but his faint footsteps couldn't evade Angelize ears, specially in that deadly silence of alley.

He drew out his gun as if sensing the imminent danger. Just then he trespassed the safe line, he pointed his gun at the entrance of the turn but there was no one.

As he relaxed a bit, a sharp blow landed at the back of his head, numbing his senses. The gun fell from his hand as he stumbled backward. His insentient state gave Angelize enough time to push him in a corner, draw out her dagger and press the sharp edge against his throat.

All done at an inhuman speed.

"You have ten seconds. Speak! Whom are you working under?"

He had no idea how that girl disappeared in thin air and appeared right behind him. The man looked at the girl stupefied who was glaring at him with ferocious eyes.

But he wouldn't feel threatened by a delicate girl like Angelize. Judging his age and experience, he could easily handle dozens like her without putting an effort. He reached out for his gun but before that Angelize stomped over his wrist with a startling strength.

Crack!

The man groaned. He was good at holding pain. Now Angelize was confirmed that he was a professional.

Only then Angelize realized that it was not the man that she had spotted earlier.

Was there more than one man after her?

As she realized that, Angelize face turned ugly.

Damn!

The man was recovering from his initial shock when Angelize pressed the dagger deeper, slightly cutting his skin.

"Whom are you working under?", Angelize enunciated clearly.

But the man had no intentions of answering her. He raised his hand to reach out his ear. Angelize eyes widened. With a swift slash, she cut his throat.

It was a slight cut, not requiring much exertion, but at the right point.

Blood spurted out tainting the mud in red.

Angelize was breathing harshly. There was a communicator in his ear. Just a second delay and he would have alerted his companions. And they wouldn't be far from here. And she would have been captured by them.

Angelize was not an idiot. She was aware of her weaknesses. She couldn't fight dozens of trained men with guns. She had some exceptional skills but she was not invincible. That was the reason she was on run to begin with.

Angelize quickly steadied her heartbeats.

She was not prideful of her abilities. Only because that man had underestimated her judging her appearance had he failed. If he had been alert then Angelize stood no chance.

While the murder of street scoundrels had no major effect, the murder of such a professional spy would create a big sensation so she quickly got rid of his corpse. She eliminated all the possible evidences. Once dumping the body in a nearby well, she made her way to her apartment.

In her apartment, Angelize slumped on the couch and heaved a sigh. She was engrossed in deep thought.

The apartment was not very exorbitant nor was it shabby. It looked like an average apartment a middle-class family could afford for a college student. The motive behind it was to keep it low-key.

Big Boss didn't want anyone to know that he was supporting her.

She might have gotten rid of that spy but it goes without saying that the others would notice his absence. She must not stay at this place any longer but if she leaves, Big Boss men would hunt her down. And she might have a chance running from that person but running from Almighty Big Boss?

That was simply impossible!

In the end, she mustered up her courage to take a chance and continue attending the college. After all it was her only chance to grow powerful and seek revenge.

She diverted all of her precious time into studying.
