Christin knew that Zayden had no plans on backing off. And Angelize couldn't deal with him alone. She was pretty fast but she couldn't fight off all of his men without getting herself hurt in the process.

And to some extent what he thought was true also.

He had to protect her so that his mystery wouldn't die before being unravelled by him.

This is how he justified him of helping her.

Then he came up with a plan.

********************************************

"You're coming with me?", Angelize asked nonchalantly.

"This is weekend. I'll be going home. So I just wanted to go home with you", Sarah replied, her voice was nervous.

Angelize looked at her suspiciously but didn't say anything.

A car pulled out. Strangely Angelize recognized it.

"You?", she was confused.

Christin came out of back seat and smiled charmingly. His smile could melt the hearts of countless girls but sadly it was always uneffective on Angelize.

"Lets go in", Sarah gave a stretched smile.

Angelize closed her arms in front of her chest.

"Sarah didn't you say that your friend was picking us?"

"Yes"

"Since when Christin became your friend?"

Sarah coughed.

"Well..."

"We have been friends for quite a while now", Christin smiled and put his arm around Sarah in a friendly manner.

"Cut the crap. Tell me what is it all about?", Angelize glared at both of them.

Sarah sighed.

"Angelize I know you are quite strong but it is never bad to take precaution. Right?"

"Is it about Zayden?"

"You don't know. He is very dangerous! After his formal threat he'll be bringing men with him to beat you. He can do a lot of unimaginable things to you!", Sarah was genuinely worried. She had been convinced by Christin before.

Christin stepped to help Sarah.

"Didn't he clearly reveal his intentions to hunt you? The most susceptible place is from your way to your apartment. And I think you are smart enough to know that you can't fight him alone", Christin had a serious tune. Initially he didn't want to go to this extent but after knowing Zayden immoral intentions, he was quite disturbed. , "He won't be doing anything if I'm with you because of my family name. So you'll be safe with me"

Of all things Angelize couldn't understand why he wanted to help her. Surely she teased him earlier about him liking her but it was only a tease. She knew he didn't like her.

He must have held ulterior motives, she concluded.

"Angelize please agree", Sarah looked like a child asking her mother for a chocolate, "I promise I won't ever trouble you with my gossips when you read books in the future"

Angelize sighed.

"Its not like I've a choice do I?", she looked at Christin sharply, "We've walked a lot to here. Now even if we walk all the way back, I won't be getting any bus to my way home"

Christin eyes had a devilish spark.

So he planned out it so well from the beginning?

Indeed a dangerous guy.

So they three sat in the back seats of car as the driver made his way to Sarah residence. Once dropping her, they were on their way to Angelize apartment.

All the time Angelize was quiet doing something on her tablet.

However her eyes were somewhere else.

A car was following them.

So Christin was not joking when he said that Zayden men would be following her.

If she was alone, he would have surely had made a move by now.

When the car stopped in front of Angelize residence, Christin looked at her as if he wanted to say something. But reluctantly he looked away deciding against it.

Angelize left the car without saying a word or a thanks. It would have been impolite of her but she was convinced that crafty guy had ulterior motives to help her.

Angelize knew she was left with very less time. So she made her way to her computer and skimmed through the profiles of journalists she had been going through earlier.

Eric Davidson.

The journalist she had selected.

She sent him a message with an anonymous account.

"Want an opportunity that can change your life?"

After a while a reply came.

"That depends on the price?"

Angelize smirked. That guy was smart and experienced. He was used to getting messages from hackers with fake accounts. So he was not beating about the bush.

She typed a message.

"Price- Destruction of Carter family"

"Woah dude! Don't you think that price is a little to steep. Carter family is very powerful. Who wants to mess with them?"

"Wasn't it the Carter family that ruined your career five years ago? Now is the time to have your revenge"

"That's impossible"

Angelize didn't reply. But sent him a file she had dug out owing to her hacking skills.

"It was only a trailer. Still think that's impossible?"

On the other side Eric was dumbfounded. He skimmed through that file and found out that it was an official document. He was thrilled. It had the records of their corruption and frauds. If this was publicized by him not only he would become famous but the Carter family would be ruined.

An excited smile appeared on his face. His eyes twinkled as if he could see the downfall of Carter family.

That Carter family was the one that caused his such miserable state!

He hadn't taken this fella seriously. But now that he had seen that file, he was ready to sell himself in exchange for remaining files to ruin the Carter family.

"Name the price! I'm willing to pay any price!", he typed forcefully and sent the message quickly as if scared that delaying would make that fella change his mind.

"Like I said before the price is the ruin of Carter family is seven days"

Eric stopped for a while. So the person wants no money in exchange for such a delicate information?

He must have been hired by a politician or opposing powerful family to ruin the Carter family.

After all Carter family had a lot of enemies.

"Don't you think that seven days a little short", he carefully typed and sent the message.

Angelize grimaced.

In her given condition, she couldn't wait more than seven days.

"That's the price. If you can't pay then I'll find someone else"

Truthfully she had no other options. If she was to select someone else for this dirty job, he would surely contact Carter family in exchange of a huge sum of money. And from her search, she knew that this Eric was an honest and dauntless journalist whose career was ruined by Carter family.

That crazy journalist wouldn't hesitate to put his life on line to avenge him-like he had done in the past.

So he was the best candidate.
