"Pull over," Alex stated from the back seat. "Why?" I looked at her in the rearview mirror. We just passed the sign that said Welcome to Phoenix. I pulled over nonetheless, despite her silence. Cars passed by us on the narrow road as we waited for Alex to say something.

"I don't wanna go back," She said so lowly I almost didn't hear her. "We're supposed to go back to our complicated lives when we were just carefree? I don't want that responsibility again.." She trailed off in thought. My mouth was agape hearing this come from her. She's the one who's always prepared for responsibility.

"Alex, I know what you mean. I mean- we crack sometimes. We compare our life now to an easier life and get disappointed when we find out what we're left with.. But don't think that your brothers and sisters aren't back home waiting for their big sister to get to them."

The car stood quiet for a second while she evaluated what I just said. "You're right. Wow how could I even think that way.."

"I think the way all the time Alex.. But I have Ethan to keep me sane." I explained quietly.

"You guys don't have to deal with this alone."

"Yeah you have us." Carter and Mya spoke up. We both smiled at them.

"Don't forget about me! I'm here for you too!" We laughed at Cassie's outburst.

"I love you guys." I chuckled before getting prepared to go back on the road again. Just then my cell phone started to ring my favorite song, Change Me.

"Don't answer while you're driving!" Mya scolded.

"But it's Justin!" I ignored her and answered my phone, smiling.

"Hey Justin."

"Hey baby, are you almost home?" His voice boomed through the Bluetooth speakers of the car.

"Yes, what's up?" I smiled.

"Just getting the jet ready for Miami tonight."

"So you're going tonight? Why not tomorrow?" I was honestly curious.

"Khalil wants to go to this club tonight." He answered swiftly.

I looked into the rearview mirror at Myas face and caught her rolling her eyes.

"Don't do anything crazy, okay Justin?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Crazy? Vanessa don't worry about me, worry about your family. Gosh you sound like-"

"Like who Justin?" I rolled my eyes. "I'm sick of you saying I sound like Selena."

"Well then stop sounding like her." I heard him scoff.

"Wow, okay. Bye Justin." I sighed before pressing the end button on my phone. I hit the bluetooth off and blasted the radio up, careful to watch the road too.

"Hey if they're going to Miami tonight, they'll never find the video."

"Oh they'll find it eventually.." I trailed off not really caring about the video we left them. My thoughts were surrounded by Justin and how fustrated he makes me.
