Chapter 34: I'm Impressed

Remember how I was talking about my nephew being really ankward, well he actually is smarter than I suspected! I took it upon myself to read his additions to my journal, and I don't mean this lightly when I say I was floored by what I saw. Instead of aimless aggression of a typical adolescent, I discovered the same obsession with the supernatural as myself. Page after page, I read on as he navigated beasts, encased villans, defeated ghost (twice!), and even took down a gremgoblin! He even has fought Cipher twice! Sure, he rough around the edges (and prone to romantic distraction), but he possesses bravery, cleverness, imagination, and drive far beyond the years! I've got to say I'm proud of him! He even has a birth deformation- like me! He's like a younger version of me. I finally found a kid like me! I, I, trust him! I asked him one day to help me with a certain species, and he jumped right to it! Also, the kids parents think he's dead, because of you know who! Maybe, just maybe, he could be my apprentice? He has met all of the qualifacations, and he can take exposure to portal radiation, so he's the most likely candidate! I just got only one thing that bugs me. His sister! She is attached to him like the molecules of a solid shape! She could still live in the mansion with us, but I don't want her getting in the way! Oh, what am I saying, Mabel has a magnetic imagination! She can make friends with a badger, and that's not easy. I've made up my mind, and I shall ask Dipper and Mabel for there apprenticeship. Surely they'll say yes!

Later that day

Everyone was outside, looking out to the sunset, and for some people, looking directly at the sun. They started to slowly dispart as everyone was getting tired. The only people left were Bill, Will, Stan, Ford, Dipper, and Mabel. Will broke the silence telling everyone,"It's a beautiful dusk, the sun mixing with the clouds, makes it really seem like there's more to life than dispair, and disappointment, there's happiness, and D E T E R M A N A T I O N !"
The last word perked up Bill, he new what his brother was doing, so he spoke to him through the mindscape saying,"Make sure, Chara didn't here that, she might kill you!" Will looked at his brother trying to hold back the force that was humor! The two disbanded from the group, saying they had to meet someone in the Nightmare Realm. They snapped their fingers, and poof, they were gone. After a while, Stan disbanded from the group saying, " It's getting late, and I'm getting tired, good night!" All three responded with a simple," Good night Grunkle Stan/Brother! He went back to the room and all that was left, was Dipper, Mabel, and Ford. Ford spoke up to the twins asking if they were ever going home. The question startled the twins! Dipper spoke up saying, "We've been gone for years, and, well, our parents, forgot us, it's best to stay here!" Mabel looked at him with a look of pity, and dispair. Tears streaming down the twins faces. They both missed their parents, but that was the past. Ford asked the question he's been meaning to ask, "Look, you two, I'm getting a little old to be researching the town! I need to train people to be my apprentice, and, well I think I want to keep it in the family!" Both twins faces lit up! They were now sad, happy, and confused. The first to speak up was Mabel. She asked him, "Do you really mean it?" Ford gently gave a little nod to both of them, and the twins fainted!

The next day

"Guys, are you awake?" they heard a calm voice say. It was Star! She went on telling them that when they fainted, they fell off the building, and fractured there ankles. Luckily, Star used a healing spell that she learned a while back. Ford came in through the door, and when he did they both screamed ,"Yes, yes we will!" Ford Now had two new apprentices, and there name were Dipper and Mabel! I chided them saying, " You're gonna go far kids!"
