JASON

"Where the hell am I?" I thought. Nice condo I crashed out in. I remember having only one beer at the bar, and then buying that bottle. I went to that dog park on work campus. Why the hell is there a dog park on campus? It's not like people bring their dogs to work.

I am fully fucking naked in my briefs. But I gotta piss. Where is the bathroom? Dammit. I slept perfectly good though. No hangover. Whoever made this bed on the couch for me made this with loving care.

I walked out of the bathroom and took a peek down the hall to the last door at the end of the hall. I opened the door slowly. Sleeping soundly like a princess. Who is this angel? I walked back out and closed her door. I walked back out to the couch and put my pants back on. I fished for my phone to see who I last text. Maybe I can figure out who the angel is in the bedroom.

No way.

I smiled. Kuma. That is Katana laying in that bed just like an angel. I stared at the carpet with a giddy smile. I put my hand to my chin as I put my phone back down on the table. I walked back into Kuma's room. I sat beside her at the edge of her bed, slowly and careful  not to scare her when I wake her up.

My mom used to gently run her fingernail across my eyelashes to wake me up in the morning. So, I ran my fingernail across Kuma's long beautiful lashes. She squinted and then rubbed them.

Damn, she's fucking beautiful.

How the fuck did she even let me stay in her house, and why couldn't I have woke the fuck up next to her?

She shifted her body on her back and opened her eyes. She sat up and smiled at me. I stared at her. "Good morning, Jay. Did you sleep okay?" Still staring at her with a smile, "Never better." I said proudly. "I have to get going."

"Let me make you some coffee. Are you feeling ok?" She asked softly. Her soft voice is so calm. So comforting.

"No, I'm ok." I leaned her back on her pillow "Stay where you are. You sleep. I'm gonna go. I have to work on a game a little bit at home before..boss calls." She laughed, "I know the feeling."

I stood up from her bed and started to walk out, "Thanks for last night. I don't remember much, but I probably needed it." I said.

"No problem, Jase. Anything you need. I'm here. Okay?" She said with her calm soft voice.

"Thanks." I said. I walked out and down the hall. I put my shirt back on and my jacket. Katana walked up behind me to her counter and fished my keys out from her purse, "These are yours." She smiled. I half smiled, "Thank you, Kuma." I took the keys from her hand. "I can take you back to your car. It's still cold outside."

"Yeah. That'd be alright." I said. I really didn't want to walk, and I'd like to spend a few more human minutes with Kuma.

She threw on a pink hoodie and slippers and grabbed her keys and her purse. I followed her out to her car. She smelled amazing. Who is this person?

On the way back to the park, I looked at the clean interior in Katanas car.
"Nice Porsche." I complimented. "Did you always have this car before Gemu?" I asked.

She looked at me with me huge grin. "What?" I asked.
"You don't want to talk about cars with me, Jason." She said.
"Why not?" I smirked
She laughed, "Because I'll never stop. If it's one think I know besides programming, its cars." She bragged.

Jeezus, Lew! She's fucking perfection.

I closed my eyes, scratched my head, and took a deep breath to get the thought out.
I stared back at her as she drove.
"What?" She asked with a smile
"Why'd you do it?" I enquired.
"Do what?" She took a quick glance at me in confusion.
"Pick me up." I said with a smirk.
