Shout out to that time my friend called a poodle a Dalmatian and a collie a corgi.

"How old is she."

"Just turned 5 months."

"Well, she is just a little cutie. Just like her owner." The long haired man looked up at me with a smirk.

"Are you ever not going to flirt with me, Alex?" I replied with a smile down at him

"You really can't tell me that you don't enjoy my relentless flirting." He had me cornered. He was right.

"Shut up." I looked away and tucked a strand of h/c hair behind my ear.

"I'll see you later, Y/n. Maybe next time you'll agree to that date." He jogged away from my bench, his Dalmatian, named Poodle, trailing behind him.

I looked down at Collie, my tiny little corgi, sighing as I did so. I had known Alexander for awhile now, we met just after I got my other dog, a mutt named Eliza, and had had this flirty relationship since. He was attractive to say the least, and his dog was friendly.

I wanted to date him.

He had asked me out a few times, but each time I rejected him. I was surprised he still tried to date me, the mess that I was. I didn't think I was good enough for him I guess. I'm not sure really

-------

Rain softly hit against the window, music was playing from my phone, and I sat in a warm bath. Eliza was sleeping on the rug by my tub, Collie was no where to be seen, but I could only assume she was at the window watching the birds play in puddles.

I sat in the water for awhile before I heard Collie barking, to which I told he to shush. I was about to call out for her to come here before Eliza jumped up and ran into the hall, on the way to the front door. Not wanting to ruin my relaxing time, I yelled at the dogs to shut up, which they ignored.

I got up, dried off with a towel a bit, and threw on a robe. Seeing that the dogs were in fact barking at the door. I looked through the window to see who was there, and jumped a bit when I noticed it was Alex.

I ran over to the door, opening it up to a smiling, and soaking wet, Alexander.

I ushered him inside, saying, "Come in, Come in!" As I did so. I ran down the hall to the bathroom, grabbing the towel I hadn't used. I ran back down and threw the towel at him, for the first time I saw Poodle with him, and signed. He like out a feeble, "sorry..."

I went back and got another towel and laid it across his back. Eliza had chilled out at this point, but ho boy was Collie having a fit. Alex was laughing, removing the towel he had been rubbing his head with, causing me to laugh at how messy his hair now was.

"Oh, whats so funny, Miss Wearing-Only-A-Robe?" Alex looked me up and down, winking when he got back up to my face. I blushed harshly, and looked away. "I'll go change now. And get you dry cloths."

I went to my bed room and closed the door, sliding down the back of it and sitting on the floor a moment later. Alex was just at my house, soaking wet, and adorably hot.

And so I ignored my feelings, changed into my pjs, and grabbed some of my brothers old clothes for Alex, and returned to the hall. He was still standing in the doorway, on my house mat. Poodle was sitting down, calmly sniffing at Eliza, while Collie was freaking the hell out. I tossed him the clothes and scooped up Collie. "Bathroom is the third door on the left."

I sat down on my couch, pulling the blanket over my legs and placed my dog on my lap. Netflix was still playing on my laptop and I just had to unpause it.  I curled back up, waiting for Alex to walk through to doorway of the living room. Somehow, he managed to not gain my attention and just walked though over to me.

"Hi..." He smiled down at me before sitting next to me.

"Hello, Alex." I smiled back, turning my head towards him, and in that same moment, he turned to kiss me. It was soft at first, and then I kissed him back.

He pulled away, "I knew I would get a date from you one day. Never thought it would be at 9 o clock in the pouring rain."
