Brewing a CATastrophe [Yoonmin AU]

Prologue

As a young boy, Yoongi was taught the ways of witchcraft. His family was a well respected one in the witch community. His older brother attended the same school as Yoongi, raising the teachers' expectations on the younger boy.

When Yoongi got the news that he was going to a witch school, the first thing he did was run up to his room and hug Jimin. Yoongi looked so excited to receive the news. Jimin purred and nuzzled his head into Yoongi's chest. Yoongi started to rant on about how he thinks his life will be there at his new school. Looking down at his lap, he started to stroke Jimin's white fur. He wondered if he could bring pets to the school.

The next morning, Yoongi had asked his parents if he could bring a pet to his new school. They told him that he could and asked what pet he would like to bring. Yoongi's eyes became larger and he showed his gummy smile," I want to bring Jiminie! He is my best friend and I need him with me!"

During school, Yoongi was a quiet yet attentive boy. He got good grades and was respected by most. Yoongi mastered making different kinds of potions during his time there. He could make ones that can make you laugh uncontrollably to the ones that can give you insane luck. His potions were a way of distracting him from interacting with people.

It's not that he didn't make friends at school. Yoongi had some close friends during his time there. The list of close friends include Namjoon, Jungkook, Hoseok, and his cat, Jimin.

Namjoon was always there when Yoongi went to the library, whether it was to do homework or get a new book about potions. If Yoongi had trouble finding a book or doing a question, Namjoon would pop up and help him with it. Yoongi swears that he has seen Namjoon at the library more than the librarian.

Jungkook was a shy kid that Yoongi happened to bump into. Jungkook had fallen onto the floor and got up, apologizing to the older, before dashing away to get to his next class. Yoongi didn't think much of it and proceeded to make his way to his own class.

Once Yoongi got to his class, the teacher had announced that they were going to pair up with a student from a lower class. The lower class just so happened to be the one Jungkook was in. When they had to choose partners, Jungkook immediately went to Yoongi, and they worked on the potion they had to brew.

Now, Hoseok was the first friend the Yoongi had made. Both don't really know how they became friends, it just happened. One minute Yoongi and Hoseok make eye contact, and the next thing they know, they're giggling together about a picture from a book. Hoseok had made Yoongi smile countless of times, even if Hoseok himself wasn't feeling too well.

And we can't forget about Yoongi's best friend since the very beginning, Jimin. Jimin was Yoongi's pillar of support, even if he couldn't communicate with the boy. Jimin was there when Yoongi failed some potions. He was there when Yoongi cried about missing his parents back home. Jimin was there when Yoongi needed love the most.

Yoongi's friends made his experience at the school more enjoyable. He would laugh whenever they did something stupid together. The amount of homework was done with the company of his friends doing the same. They suffered together and they made memories together.

Whenever it was time to graduate and move on to find a place in the witchcraft world, Yoongi couldn't believe how fast time flew. All these years at the school disappeared right before his eyes. They would all move on, but Yoongi hopes their friendships will stay.
