Chapter 13

Jin took the food they ordered and started to place it onto the table. Jimin stopped drinking his sweet tea to help.

"Jin hyung, did you make the food or did someone else make it?"

Jin paused to answer. "I made the food! I hope you guys enjoy it. We use fresh ingredients especially for the vegetables."

"Ah, okay then. I'll be sure to tell you if I liked it or not!"

"Ok, I appreciate your opinion on our food."

Eventually, all the food was placed onto the table and Jimin got his fruity alcoholic drink. He was informed that it was 60% alcohol and 30% fruit with 10% water. He was fine with it. Jimin wanted to get the best out of his time as a human hybrid. He didn't know if he would turn back into a cat or not.

"Yoongi hyung."

Yoongi swallowed the water in his mouth from the melted ice cube. "Yes, Jimin?"

"Uhm, do you know if my transformation is temporary or permanent?"

Jungkook placed his phone on the table. " I'm wondering that too. Is he going to stay like this or become a cat again?"

Yoongi scratched the back of his head, unprepared for this question. It's not that he hadn't thought about it. In fact, he did while driving from the mall to the restaurant. Yoongi is surprised he even managed to pay attention to the road while thinking about it.

"Right about that... The transformation potions that me and Namjoon made are only supposed to last a whole 24 hours. If it really was the case that one of those potions spilled on you, then you would be back into a cat in a couple hours or so."

Yoongi paused there to see if Jimin and Jungkook were listening and was surprised to see Jin still there too. "Wait, Jin aren't you supposed to be in the kitchen or something?"

Jin waves it off with his hand. "The kitchen can wait. I want to hear this story or explanation about Jimin."

"Ok then," Yoongi nods before continuing on. "Let's assume that Jimin did transform into a kitty hybrid because of the transformation potion. He would turn back into a cat in a few hours like I said before. The only thing we don't know is that if it was one of the successful or the failed potions that spilled on him. The failed ones either didn't last long enough or last way too long."

Jungkook interrupted. " Hyung, so are you saying that Jimin might have had one of the failed potions spilt on him?"

"Yeah. I mean, it's the only possible thing I could think of. It makes sense too."

"W-wait. So, it might be permanent?" Jimin asks.

"Probably. It lasted this long hasn't it?"

Jimin stands up from his seat. "I- I need to give myself some space away from this. I'm going to the bathroom if you need me. Excuse me, Jin hyung."

Jin moves out of the way and his eyes follow Jimin's form to the bathroom until he disappears inside. "Welp, I take that as my cue to go. The kitchen needs me again! Make sure Jimin eats his food and finishes his fruity drink. If he doesn't, I'll take it and enjoy it myself.Enjoy your food!"

Jin whisks off to the kitchen with his now empty cart. Yoongi and Jungkook are left in silence, except Jungkook is taking his food and actually eating it. Yoongi decides to do the same and wait for Jimin to come back. Hopefully, he's fine.

Jimin leaves the booth and walks off to the bathroom. There, he put stood in front of the mirror and looked at his reflection. A human with ears and a tail. That's what he saw.

The more he looked at himself, the more hideous he looked. It got to the point where Jimin had backed away from the mirror and slid down onto the wall behind him. Jimin felt nauseous. His eyes became wider and his breathing, ragged.

Jimin tried to control his breathing, trying to calm himself down. This act only made him dizzier. Jimin felt as if he was about to throw up and scrambled off the floor and threw himself towards one of the stalls. He threw up into the toilet and once he was done, Jimin started crying, feeling worse than before.

As Jimin was crying, Jin had entered the bathroom as well. Jin was about to use the bathroom but he heard Jimin crying in one of the stalls.

"Jimin?"

All Jin got was a response of sniffles.

"Ah, Jimin where are you?"

"I'm- sniff- in h-here."

Jin finds Jimin crying in one of the stalls. The boy was leaning against the stall wall. It broke Jin's heart to see him like this. Even if he had only met Jimin today, Jin felt the urge to protect him when he first laid eyes on him.

"Awh Jimin, come here."

Jin takes Jimin's body into his arms and hugs him. Jimin's body keeps shaking from his crying. Jin then takes notice of the throw up in the toilet.

"Oh, you threw up huh? Let's clean you up and get you some water." Jin led Jimin out of the stall and flushed the toilet. He closed the stall door and locked it, making it inaccessible to others until someone had cleaned it.

Jimin went over to the sink and washed his face. He rinsed his mouth with water while he was at it. The boy looked once more at his reflection and expected to see some human with ears and a tail. All he saw was a boy with a tear stained face. Seeing himself in this state, Jimin's heart broke at the sight of it.

Jin went behind him and hugged Jimin's shoulders. " You poor thing. Did you wash your face?"

Jimin nods. "Yeah, I did. I don't feel like going back to the table feeling like this though."

Jin hummed. "That's fine! I said I was going to get you a glass of water anyways so let's head to the kitchen. I'll even cook your favorite dish to make you feel better!"

Jimin smiled, appreciating his gesture. "Ok, let's go to the kitchen."

They got out of the bathroom with Jimin feeling a tad bit better about himself and Jin on a mission to make Jimin happy.
