Brewing a CATastrophe [Yoonmin AU]

Chapter 12

As Yoongi focused on driving, Jimin and Jungkook were left in silence in the backseat. Neither of them spoke. Jungkook was on his phone and Jimin was left to look out of the window.

It was silent until Jimin spoke up. "Jungkook, do you have a job?"

Jungkook looks up from his phone. "What?"

"I said, do you have a job?"

Jungkook nods his head. " Yep, I do. I work at Yoongi hyung's potion store."

"Is he an annoying boss?"

"No, but he is strict on where to put things. He manages the business well. I would say that he is by far the best potion shop in town."

"He better have the best one. He excelled in potions while in the witch academy."

Yoongi looked up in the mirror. " You know I can hear you guys right?"

Jimin looked at him. " Hey! We are saying good things about you, ok?"

"Yeah yeah. Anyways, we're here at the restaurant Jungkook recommended."

Jungkook tucked his phone away in the pocket of his hoodie. "Great! Food, here I come!"

The trio walked into the restaurant to find there were some people waiting to be seated at a table. Yoongi and Jimin sat down on two of the waiting chairs while Jungkook leaned against the wall, seeing as there weren't anymore chairs available.

They waited and waited until there were only two other people besides them waiting for a table. Two people had walked up to the reception table from the restaurant area. One of them so happened to be Namjoon.

"Namjoon? What are you doing here?" Yoongi asked, noticing the man's presence.

The man looked over to the trio and his face lit up. " Ah! Yoongi hyung! Jungkook! And... who are you?"

Jimin noticed he wasn't mentioned. " Me?"

Namjoon nods his head. " Yeah, who are you?"

"Oh, I'm Jimin. Formally known as Yoongi's cat. I'm in a hybrid form? I dunno how that happened but it did and here I am."

Namjoon just nods. " I see..." He turns to Yoongi. "Yoongi hyung, did the transformation potion work?"

Yoongi scratches the back of his head. " That's the thing, the transformation potion is only supposed to transform the person fully into that entity, not half like Jimin. Maybe he had some of the earlier stages of the transformation potion spilt on him."

"That's probably the case."

While the two were talking, the other man that was with Namjoon had already sent the other two people waiting into an eating space. He came back to the trio and Namjoon and waited to be noticed.

Jungkook was too busy texting on his phone. Jimin had been looking around the waiting area and noticed the man waiting. " Who are you?"

Namjoon and Yoongi paused their conversation when they heard Jimin speak.

"I'm Jin! I'm the manager of this restaurant. I also help around in the kitchen and serving." After saying that, Jin blows a hand kiss to Jimin's way.

Jimin smiles at him. " Hello! I'm Jimin and I'm 19 years old! At least I think so."

Jin agrees. " You look to be 19. Anyways, are you guys reading to be seated?"

"Yeah, lead the way." says Yoongi. "Namjoon are you coming?"

"I wish I could, but I have some things to do. Sorry about that."

Yoongi waves it off. " It's fine. You can tell me why you were here later, right now, I want food."

Jin claps his hands together. " Alrighty then! Right this way you guys!"

Jimin nudges Jungkook. "Come on, we are about to go eat."

Jungkook puts away his phone. "Alright, let's go!"

The trio were led to their eating area which was surrounded by walls to give them privacy.

"Here is where you will sit. I'll come back to get your drinks. Here are some menus to look at while to order. I'll be back!"

Jin whisks off to some other place in the restaurant, and the trio are left to sit down and figure out what they wanted to eat.

"Jungkook what would you say is good here?" Jimin asked.

"Hmm maybe the pork cutlet? There is a lot of food choices that I didn't eat last time I went here."

"Ah, ok." Jimin goes back to looking at the menu.

After some minutes, Jin comes back to get their drinks. "What drinks would you like?"

Jimin goes first. "Is it possible I could have a fruity alcoholic drink? If not I'll take sweet tea."

Jin writes that down on his notepad. "You could have the alcohol drink, but it would probably be better if you drank that later on in the meal."

Jimin just nods. "Okay then, I'll take a sweet tea for now."

"Jungkook what would you like to drink?"

"Water. Wait, by any chance do you have milk?"

Jin nods. " Yep, we do. We sometimes have families with kids who want milk. We have normal, chocolate, strawberry, and banana flavors."

"Ooh can I have the banana one?"

Jin writes that down. "Sure! Yoongi?"

Yoongi looks up from his menu. "Can I just have a cup full of ice?"

Jin nods. "Yes you can! Did you guys figure out what food you wanted to order yet?"

"Yep! Jungkookie, Yoongi hyung, are you guys ready?"

Yoongi nods. "Yeah, I'll have..."

After Jin took their orders, they all waited in silence. Jungkook was about to take out his phone when suddenly Yoongi spoke up.

"Hey Jungkook," Yoongi started. "How is the shop doing?"

"Last I checked, which was yesterday, the sales were pretty well. We still need to restock on some things like that luck potion and those plant growth spray bottles. Turns out, gardeners really like them and keep coming back for more, saying that, 'They are the best out there.' Something along those lines."

Yoongi just nods at this information. " That's pretty good I suppose. We should get Hoseok and Namjoon to help brew more growth potions and put them in more spray bottles. If I'm not mistaken, our order of spray bottles came in this morning right?"

"Yep, I checked them before coming to your house. I don't know how the delivery guy wakes up so early in the morning. I can't do that."

"You and me both, bud. You and me both..."

Silence fell once more and this time Jungkook was able to take out his phone. Yoongi took one of the ice cubes from the cup and plopped it into his mouth, biting it and letting it melt.

Jimin noticed Yoongi did this as he drank his sweet tea. He was about to ask Yoongi why he just ate the ice cubes but Jin came in and had a cart filled with the food they ordered.

"Are you guys ready to eat?"
