Brewing a CATastrophe [Yoonmin AU]

Chapter 5

After Yoongi and Namjoon left for the shop, Jimin had the whole house to himself. If he had friends, he would call them over. Although seeing as he's a cat, pretty sure that's not happening anytime soon. What does Jimin do instead? He explores the house of course.

Namjoon had beige colored walls throughout most of the house. The color of the furniture mostly being light blue with some gray or white thrown in. It was mostly beach themed, seeing as it was near the beach. The colors Namjoon had going on pleased Jimin. It was a different scene than the one he was used to at Yoongi's house.

Jimin goes to the kitchen first, feeling a bit hungry and wanting something to eat. As he walked up to the fridge, he realized he couldn't open it nor eat what was in there. Jimin ditched the idea and went to the living room.

Jimin first went under the white coffee table and laid there. He got bored so he got out of the table and stretched onto the gray carpet. The cat decided he wanted a nap so he jumped onto the couch and got into a napping position. Just as he was about to fall asleep, Jimin heard a bunch of quick clicks on the wooden floor. He looked up to see what made the noise and found the crab from before, making his way from the hallway to the living room.

Jimin leaped down from the couch and approached the crab with caution. The pincers looked sharp. The shell of the crab doesn't look like Jimin could scratch it. The black beady eyes stared at the cat, and the cat gladly stared back. None of the two creatures made a move. That is until Jimin got bored and set off to the study room where all the knowledge was.

There, Jimin explored the room. He left no corner or space hidden. Jimin had also somehow managed to get on top of the bookshelves for a reason we truly don't know. He jumped onto tables and chairs to sniffing the liquids that were in bottles. Some smelled pleasant while others smelt pungent.

Eventually, Jimin got bored and started to run around in the study room. He kept running in circles, going over chairs and under tables. As he was running, Jimin bumped into one of the table legs and a potion got knocked over, spilling its contents right on the cat. Jimin didn't have time to make a big deal about, seeing as Yoongi and Namjoon had just arrived back home.

"Jimin! Where you at boy? Come here, we got some food for you."

With that, Jimin dashed away to the witches, leaving the bottle still knocked over on top of the table.

Yoongi was bringing some of the ingredients that they picked up from the shop. Namjoon and Yoongi both agreed that they should only sell 100 bottles of these potions. A transformation potion is complicated to make and could take months to make a single bottle, but Yoongi, an expert at the subject, could make it in 30 minutes.

Namjoon was still outside at the car, trying to figure out a spell to levitate the objects instead of carrying them. Yoongi had already put his box of lacewing flies in the entry hallway. Yoongi went back to get another box from the car.

"Ah! That's the spell!" Namjoon exclaimed, taking his wand out of his pocket.

Yoongi walked up to him, "What spell?"

"Wingardium Leviosa!" Namjoon said, swishing his wand in the correct hand movements.

On cue, the boxes that were still waiting to be moved, levitated into the air. Namjoon directed his wand to his doorway and off the boxes went in, lining up in a straight line to fit. Yoongi thought to himself," Why didn't I think of that..."

"Because I'm smarter than you hyung."

Yoongi got confused," Huh? Can Namjoon read my brain? Is that something he was working on too?"

"No hyung, you are just saying your thoughts out loud. Let's go inside, I'm sure Jimin missed us."

"Wait, I gotta get the bag of cat food from the car." Yoongi got the food and he went inside.

Once they got inside, Yoongi shouted,"Jimin! Where you at, boy? Come here, we got some food for you."

Jimin had run to Yoongi and Namjoon, leaping into the older witch's arms. Yoongi almost didn't catch his own cat, but he managed. Jimin climbed onto his shoulder and stayed there.

"Jimin looks excited that we're back, right hyung?"

Yoongi used his free hand to scratch Jimin's head. "Yep. Go put the materials in the study room and I'll go feed Jimin in the kitchen."

Namjoon went to do what he was told to, the boxes trailing behind him on the way to the study area. Yoongi had taken Jimin and the cat food to the kitchen. Once they arrived in the kitchen, Yoongi told Jimin to get off his shoulders.

"Jimin, get off my shoulders so I can put your cat food in a bowl for you."

Jimin stayed and didn't budge.

"I- fine. If you fall off, it won't be my fault."

Yoongi poured out food for Jimin, and the cat leaped down the witch's shoulders to eat the food. As Jimin was eating, Yoongi went to the study room where Namjoon was setting up.

"I see you are almost done setting up the items."

Namjoon looked up from the potion book. " Yeah! It's all ready to become a potion."

Yoongi took his black witch hat with a moon hanging off the tip and put it on. He made a dark smile on his face, "Great, let's start to brew."
