"Hey, Summer, I think the new kids are fitting in just fine."I was walking up to Maria and Laila when I saw a huge crowd down the hallway.I shook my head and looked away.
"Let's not give them anymore attention.I'm sure we'll see them at some point today."I pulled both of their arms and headed to our first period.
We sat in the back like usual and minded our business.My teacher was beginning to teach us about Anatomy.
Suddenly, the classroom door opens and my mom came in, escorting 3 boys into our classroom.
"Sorry to interrupt, Mr.Pineda.Class, these are our new students.You guys have made them feel welcomed so please continue to do so without causing riots in the hallway, thank you."My mom shut the classroom door and in came three peculiar looking guys.One had two toned dreads and wore a REVENGE hoodie with some black jeans, another was dressed almost the same as the first guy but a little taller.But the last one caught my eye.He was taller than the both of them and he had a durag on with a hat on top and his outfit consisted of a regular shirt with a jean jacket and some matching jeans to go along with it.
"Would you guys like to introduce yourselves?"Mr.Pineda asked them.
"I'm Jahseh - I'm Isaiah - I'm Stokeley."They went down the line and introduced themselves.
I looked around and all of the girls were glossy eyed,admiring the boys.Some of the boys were even gawking at their presence.I looked over at Maria and Laila and they were, as well.That automatically turned me off.I shook my head and continued to read the new lesson.
"You guys can take a seat anywhere.I am about to teach the new lesson."They all dispersed into empty seats around the classroom.I had one next to me and I was hoping that none of them would sit there.Unfortunately, one of them did.I ignored their presence and continued to read.Maria poked me from the opposite side of me.I looked up to see what she had to say.
"Oh my goodness, girl.That fine ass nigga, Stokeley, is sitting right beside you!You better say something to him before I do."Maria said, sticking her tongue out.I shook my head and laughed at her.I sat up and continued to mind my business.
"What page is it on?"I looked up and over at Stokeley.He was way cuter up close.His eyes were so mesmerizing, he had these beautiful tattoos on his face, his skin looked so smooth and his lips were so full and perfect.I was staring so long that I didn't even realize that he was talking to me.
"Hello?"He snapped in my face and I shook my head back into reality.
"Oh, sorry.Its 245.I'm sorry."I could feel my cheeks getting hot and flushed with redness.I mentally face palmed myself and kept my head down.
"It's okay, don't worry about it.What's your name?"My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach.Why did he want to know my name?I'm not even that pretty.
"Summer, Summer Rosaline.Your name is Stokeley, right?"
"Yeah, you're a good listener."I laughed a bit as I blushed.
I looked over at Maria and Laila and they were cheesing while giving me thumbs up.I smiled back at them.
"So, how does everyone know you guys, if you don't mind me asking?"I asked resting my chin on my hand.
"No, I don't mind at all.I make music with my bros, Jahseh and Isaiah, over there.We're in a group called Very Rare or you can call it Members Only.But, my stage name is "Ski Mask The Slump God"."I nodded and listened to him talk.He had an interesting voice.He sounded like he smoked 30 packs a day, but I found it cute.
"I'll be sure to look you up when I get home."I wrote down his group name and his name and put my notebook away.
"You better.By the way, can I get your number?"I smiled at nodded my head as I wrote it down and handed it to him.
"I'm gonna call you tonight, you better answer."He said pointing in my face.
"And if I don't?"I smiled, flirtatiously.
"You don't want to find out."He winked at me and walked towards Jahseh and Isaiah.I turned to Maria and Laila and I instantly started cheesing.
"Girl, oh my god.I'm so proud of you.Look at you, making new friends and what not."Laila said while hugging me.
"I know, Stokeley is a very interesting guy.He's gonna call me tonight, actually."They both looked at each other and then at me.
"Oop, Summer about to get some dick."Maria said while applying her lipgloss.
"Girl, stop.Its just a call, its not like we gone be having sex through the phone."I laughed as I gathered my things.
"You never know."Laila said popping a piece of gum into her mouth.I rolled my eyes and laughed as we left the class.
