"Come on, you guys, this could keep us safe and not get bit or anything."I was explaining the plan to Maria and Laila.We were currently at study hall.
"I'm gonna have to think about it, this shit is already dangerous enough.Don't you, out of all people, think so?"Laila said with attitude evident in her voice.
"No, I don't.We're fighting for the right reason.This could spread around and anyone could become vampires, y'all.Please?"Maria looked at Laila and then they both looked at me.
"I'll do it."Maria said with no hesitation.I smiled at her and then waited for Laila's answer.
"Fine, but if anything dangerous happens, I'm out."She said filing her nail.
"Your ass won't be going anywhere, hush."Maria said causing us to laugh.
We all left study hall when the final bell rang for everyone to go home.
"I'll call you guys later when I get home."I said to Maria and Laila as we went our separate ways.
As I was walking back into the school, someone grabbed me and covered my mouth to prevent me from screaming.How did no one just see that?I was pulled behind a wall beside the school that was secluded.I met the eyes of someone that put fear into my body - Trippie.
"Hello, Summer."I stood as still as possible and didn't say a word,"I said hello."He said it twice, putting emphasis on it the second time.
"H-hi um-Trippie?I presume?How the hell do you know who I am?"I said, easing my body.
"I saw you with one of my troopers, I know who all of his prizes are."He started to walk back and forth.
"What do you mean by 'prize'?I just met - Stokeley."I said, curiously.
"Well, with him, he gets a girl, hypes her up to think that he loves her and then abandons her.Let me break it down for you.The girl eventually has to become a vampire because she knows his secret.Once she's immortal, he is no longer attracted to her."I looked down and processed what he said.
"How many girls has he done that to?"I know that Stokeley told me not to trust Trippie, but this was oddly convincing.Trippie said something about being one of Stokeley's prizes back at the party, as well.
"Dozens, my love.You seem different, though."Trippie came near me, causing me to back up into the wall again.
"Your heart is still beating fast.You're still a mortal, aren't you?"Fuck, I'm caught now.I didn't even answer.I ran back into the school and into my mom's office.
"Honey, are you okay?Were you and Maria playing tag around campus again?"My mom asked as I ran into her office and locked the door.
"Yeah - yeah, it got super crazy."I sat down and looked out of the window in her office.I didn't see Trippie anywhere.I decided that I needed to text Stokeley,even though I was mad at him.How could he not tell me about this "prize" situation?

S🤍: so its true?why are you keeping me mortal?is it because you didn't want me to find out about that?
stokes🧛🏾♂️💓: its just a group of girls that i dated.they knew i was a vampire so ayleks turned them into vampires and i couldn't date them anymore.she injected them with her and trippie's secret antidote that's only in their body.it makes them and whoever they bite evil.
S🤍: if their evil, how are you and the other guys not?
stokes🧛🏾♂️💓: they injected themselves after we became vampires.
S🤍: we'll talk more about this later.i gtg.

I turned my phone off and walked to the car with my mom.I felt betrayed.I know that I just met Stokeley, but he has been open with me so far.I don't want anymore secrets.
We got home and we ate dinner, like usual, and talked about our day.I was feeling down so I finished dinner earlier and went to my room.
I was studying until my phone rang on my desk.I walked over to it to see that Stokeley was calling me.Damn,I forgot to call him.I answered and sat down at my desk.
"Hey, Summer."Stokeley tried his best to sound happy, but I could still hear the sadness in his voice.
"What, Stokeley?I was in the middle of studying."I said as I wrote down some notes in my notebook.
"Aye, aye, aye, I know you mad but don't get dealt with."I looked at the phone like he was crazy.I don't know WHO he thought he was talking to.
"Excuse me?"
"It's time that I set some authority between us.You're gonna give me the same respect that I give you, am I understood?"I looked down and smiled.
"Yes, sir."I answered, seductively, on purpose.That must have caught him off guard because he choked on whatever he was drinking causing me to laugh.
"Shut up with all that laughing.Anyway, I called you because I needed to make sure that my baby was okay."I smiled at him when he said that.
"I'm obviously fine, aren't I?"
"You sure are."He licked his lips and smiled.I rolled my eyes and laughed.
"You're making it so fucking hard to be mad at you.You got hoes that you didn't even tell me about and shit."I said messing with my nails.
"You shouldn't be mad, I got you and you only.I dated those girls in the past.Its me and you now.Fuck what Trippie told you, that nigga will say anything to make you join his side.Trust me, I, out of al people, would know."I looked up at him and processed what he said.
"I know, I know.It just bothered me - a lot.You were so honest with me, but you forgot to tell me about that."
"I know, I'm sorry, beautiful."
"It's okay, I have to get back to studying though.So, I'll see you tomorrow?"I said, prompting to get up.
"Of course, baby, bye."He blew a kiss at the camera and I did the same.
"Bye."I waved and hung up.
I smiled and continued to study.
