The Museum

A woman in a green dress is reflected

In the glass of a museum diorama,

Where the savannas are tinged with sunset,

The sky dying,

And where a group of spotted African Wild dogs are perched on a boulder,

Staring into the distance.

In another, pandas are stationed within a blue valley,

The atmosphere evolving above them.

What is reflected?

A girl in a pink skirt hurrying past with a bony mother.

A new diormama;

A fiery dome,

Stubbles of wild grass sweeping into infinity.

The horizon has a bloody accent.

Giant ostriches guard their eggs.

What is reflected?

Boys sitting on red benches.
