A rainbow space cat
flies into the galaxy
in search of a better world.
Her quest fills her with
determination and insight.
The termination of lives
and lovable creations
devastate her.
The steady feline wants
a universe where things don’t fall apart
and all items last.
Nebulae glows, shifting and sparkling
at the edge of her vision,
while her tail glitters with starlight,
soft and sweet.
In her tea green eyes
two miniature Earths
are encapsulated,
green with the promise
of infinite life.
Night stretches before her
as the little spaceship shoots
through space,
sailing for its target.
The inquisitive cat’s
silver tabby fur ruffles
in her clever spacesuit.
Rainbow Space Cat
knows she is alone,
but just as desolation prevails,
her spirits lift so much
that she transforms.
Her body shines,
illuminating the depths of the universe,
where a pathway is finally found.
The cat suddenly bursts with colors:
sleek red paws,
fiery orange chest,
bright yellow belly,
shimmery blue spine,
pulsating violet ears,
and bold indigo nose.
Even her whiskers emulate with light.
She knows she is alone,
but she also knows
that her destiny is waiting.
