A Rainbow Comprised of Blood

Simple surprises

            Dwell in each - stem

From all of us;

            Post meridiem.

[Tying our tongues,

            Pervading our pains,

Weighing our wrongs,

            Believing our brains.]

As it is here

            As the world turns

That you notice

            The rain in your

Hands is blood - yet

            You smile, as

The vibrance of

            The sky hurts more

To look at than

            To handle with

One thumb, half palm,

            Comprising the

Smoky planets

            Put together.

All subtle things

            That move also

Run, and so you

            Walk beyond life.

The sky is scarred

            Beyond repair,

[And still you catch

            Cloud blood, your gloves

Now wet and cold.]

            Negligence can

Solve nothing, So

            Beware the suns

You cannot trust.

            [Carcass of dreams,

Shake the rain from

            Your sweet wrist, for

Crimson blossoms

            Will erupt, will

Comfort the one

            Softly entrenched

In red sorrow.]
