May I have this dance?

Dan pulled at his tie trying to make himself comfortable as he waited for Phil.
"Hey! Just because I asked you to prom doesn't mean I wanted you to look like you stepped out of an MCR music video!"
Dan pushed Phil playfully "yeah says the boy wearing eyeliner."
Phil giggles and kisses Dan's cheek "ready to go?"
Dan nodded gently "as I'll ever be."
Phil grabbed Dan's hand "hey, this night is about you and me. Not them. You and me having a great time. If not we can go to my house and play Mario Kart instead ok."
Dan nodded smiling softly "ok."
Phil smiled and walked with Dan to the school gym. Phil's jaw dropped "woah!" The gym didn't even look like a gym it was decorated with white lights and stars and he smiled "Dan the backdrop looks amazing you painted that whole thing?!"
Dan flushed nodding slowly
Phil squealed "god its wonderful Dan!!!"
Dan blushed again "thank you."
Phil smiled as he walked over to the dance floor the music slowing for the couples to dance to. "Good fellow may I have this dance?" Dan blushed "y-yes."
Phil grabbed Dan's hands "aww don't tell me your choking up on me now Howell I haven't even kissed you yet."
Dan's face heated up even more his carmel eyes wide. Phil giggled his tongue sticking out "come on Howell it's prom of course I'm gonna kiss you."
Dan smiled leaning into Phil's chest as they swayed slowly. Phil smiled holding Dan close. He wouldn't change this moment for anything he loved Dan so much even though he was quite shy, he loved seeing him laugh and smile when he was around Phil. He smiled "I love you Dan."
Dan blushed looking up at Phil "I-I love you too." Phil beamed and leaned in and kissed Dan who kissed back shyly. It was perfect the music playing and they held each other all the fears of the world melting away. Dan's beautiful painted night in the background. Phil smiled softly looking at Dan as they separated from their kiss.
Dan blushed softly "Hey Phil?"
Phil looked at Dan a bit worried "yes?"
Dan giggled softly "can we do that again?"
