Phil never really did much on his birthday, after he started living with Dan and pursuing YouTube he hated his birthday even more. It would always remind him of how much older he was than Dan and it made him kinda sad. Especially the comments he received about his age, it always made him so self conscious. "Aren't you a little old for that?" He shoved the thoughts out of his mind trying to get some sleep before the inevitable day came around.

Dan on the other hand, had been planning for months! He was ready to give Phil the best birthday ever. He knew how self conscious Phil was about his age but he wanted Phil to have a great birthday! He planned it out perfectly. He was going to take Phil out for a picnic (the weather was going to be perfect on Phil's birthday) and while he was out Louise and Pj we're going to decorate the house while all the guests slowly came. Dan was happy because he invited Phil's parents and some of his close friends from Manchester that he hadn't seen in ages and they were able to come out and make it. Dan grinned as he thought about the present he bought for Phil. It was perfect he knew Phil was going to love it. He had purchased a build your own garden kit that came with all the things you would need for a small little garden. He also had bought Phil a red hoodie that had small simple shapes on the side. Phils mom said she would make his favorite cake (red velvet) while Louise offered to make some surgery cocktails. Dan smiled as he went to bed it's going to be perfect.

Today was the day! Phil woke up feeling not to happy he wanted the day to be over with, he always liked when fans sent him birthday messages with gifs of dogs or something but it only lasted so long. He slowly walked to the bathroom and began to slowly get ready.
Dan happily was making pancakes for Phil while they cooked he began making some coffee for him. Smiling happily excited for Phil's birthday party. Phil walked out looking less than enthusiastic "morning." He groaned. Dan felt bad but put on a smile "Morning Phil, I made you pancakes and coffee!" Phil smiled "thank you Dan." He sat down and began sipping his coffee. Dan smiled and sat with Phil "happy birthday!" He exclaimed. Phil smiled softly "thank you." Dan smiled and kissed Phil's cheek. "I love you." He exclaimed. Phil blushed softly "I love you too." Dan joined Phil as they are pancakes and drank the rest of the coffee. Phil stood up to put his dishes away and Dan came and wrapped his arms around Phil's waist. "I want to take you somewhere special." He whispered. Phil laughed beginning to feel a bit better about his birthday but Dan always knew what to do or say to make Phil feel better. "Where are we going?" Phil asked turning around to kiss Dan's forehead. Dan smiles "a picnic!!!!" He says excitedly. Phil chuckles "that sounds wonderful." Dan smiles "great! Let's go then!!" Phil laughs at his boyfriends excitement as they walk outside.

Dan laid with his boyfriend as they looked at the clouds, talking about anything and everything. Phil held Dan's hand happily laughing and Dan's dark interpretations of the clouds while Phil still saw puppies and Dragons. Dan phone buzzed in his pocket and he quickly checked it
Louise: all set, everyone's here! Ahh! I can't wait to see Phil's face!!
Dan: perfect be home soon!

Dan stood up grabbing there stuff "it's getting a bit late let's go home." Dan said. Phil pouted "I want to stay here." Dan bit his lip "come on Phil we can go home and watch a movie, you're choice!" Dan hoped Phil would cooperate cause he didn't want the guests to be waiting hours for Phil to arrive. Phil reluctantly got up "fine." Dan smiled and grabbed Phil's hand trying not the rush home so Phil won't suspect anything. Phil smiled as they started walking home. They made there way to the door and Dan's heart was pounding he couldn't wait he was so excited he knew Phil was going to be so happy! Phil took out his keys slowly opening the door to the apartment.

Dan bit his lip in anticipation he couldn't wait it was going to happen he was so excited. Three, two, one. "SURPRISE!!!" Phil squeaked but walked inside his mouth wide open. Dan quietly followed behind him "mom! Dad! Martin!" Phil smiled hugging his family "Louise! Pj! Chris!!" Phil laughed hugging his friends and then popping out from behind the couch were his friends from Manchester. Phil covered his face "oh my god!" He said through his fingers. "Jackson!! Peter!!" He had tears in his eyes as he hugged them. "What are you doing here?" He smiled wiping his eyes "we heard it was your birthday and we wanted to surprise you!" They said cheerfully. Phil turned to look at Dan who was smiling at him "you cheeky little." He laughed "oh shut up you know you love me." Dan replied. Phil pulled him close kissing him slowly "I love you." Dan smiled kissing him back "Happy Birthday Phil." Phil smiled kissing Dan again "the is the best birthday ever."
