Ashton:

It was just a normal Saturday night. You were washing the dishes after dinner and Ashton had gone off to practice some new songs the band was planning to record. You hummed quietly to yourself as you dried the last dinner plate, carefully placing it back in the cabinet. The lights flickered but you didn’t think anything of it seeing as you lived in an old building. Suddenly, the lights flickered and went out, leaving you in complete darkness. Crap.  The noise from the other room stopped as Ashton realized that he could no longer actually see his drums. “Um, babe? What’s going on?” He called from the end of the hallway. You used the light from your phone screen to carefully make your way down the hallway to Ashton’s mini studio that he had set up in the spare room. “I’m not sure, Ash. It’s probably just the wiring in the building again. I’m sure it’ll be back on soon.” you said with a reassuring smile. The two of you went back to the kitchen to light some candles and find something to occupy yourselves. “Hey if the power’s out we might as well finish that ice cream that’s in the freezer before it spoils.” Ashton said with a devious smile. You laughed and nodded. He kissed your cheek as he stood up. “Good. I’ll get the spoons” he said with a wink.

Calum:

Calum had taken you out for a nice dinner to celebrate your anniversary and to say things hadn’t gone as planned was an understatement. The restaurant hadn’t processed your reservation so you had to wait for an open table, your cab was stolen, the waiter wouldn’t stop flirting with you, and as the two of you walked back to your apartment it began to pour. Calum had given you his jacket and he was absolutely soaked by the time you got the front door unlocked. You removed your heels, dropping your keys into the bowl on the front table. “I’m gonna get in the shower. I’m freezing.” Calum said as he ran his fingers through his wet hair. You nodded. “I’ll make you some tea if you’d like.” you offered, receiving a small smile and a quick nod from Calum as he trudged up the stairs. You leaned against the kitchen counter waiting for the kettle to finish boiling as you listened to the rain hit the window. The whistling of the kettle snapped you out of your thoughts and you quickly transferred the hot liquid to your boyfriend’s favorite mug. You could still hear the shower running upstairs so you left Calum’s tea on the counter to cool. A loud crack of thunder startled you and you were immediately plunged into darkness. The shower water turned off and and you heard Calum yell. ” Are you kidding me?!” Calum came stumbling down the stairs with a towel around his waist. “I try to do something nice for our anniversary and everything goes wrong.” He sat down in a kitchen chair and put his face in his hands mumbling apologies. You place the mug of still steaming tea in front of him and kissed his head. “Cal? To be perfectly honest this is all I could have asked for for our anniversary. Just you and me. I don’t need fancy dinners and perfect nights with no rain. I just need you.” Calum smiled and reached for your hand. “I love you” he whispered.

Luke: The boys had just gotten back from tour and you thought it would be nice to have everyone over for a little get-together before everyone went back home for the duration of their break. You let the boys pick out a movie and waited for the pizza to be delivered, absentmindedly humming a Beatles song to yourself. You were looking out the front window when you felt a pair of arms wrap around you. ”You know, standing there watching the road won’t make the pizza get here any faster.” Luke laughed. “Why don’t you come back and watch the movie with me for a bit while we wait for the pizza?” he questioned as he gently tugged you toward the living room where the other boys and girlfriends were fighting over which film to choose. You let Luke pull you onto the couch and cuddled up to him as the opening credits began to play. Halfway through the movie, Calum was on his phone, Michael was snoring, and Ashton just seemed genuinely disinterested in the movie that was playing and was busy drawing on his sleeping bandmate’s face with a sharpie he’d found. You felt Luke shift behind you as he leaned forward to whisper in your ear. “This movie is boring. Let’s go to the kitchen.” You could practically hear him smirking. The two of you slipped out of the room and into the kitchen where Luke backed you up against the counter. You didn’t know how long the two of you had been away from your friends but the lights flickered and then went out. “Well this is nice.” Luke chuckled as he leaned in for another kiss, accidentally missing your lips. You laughed. “Hey Y/N do you have any flashlights?” you heard Calum yell from the other room. You reluctantly pushed Luke away with a small laugh. “I guess we’d better not leave them in the dark.” you said, finding a flashlight and making your way to the living room. “We’re going to continue this later, right?” Luke asked, tilting his head to the side the way small puppies do. You giggled and nodded returning to the living room.

Michael: Whenever Michael had a day off, nothing productive ever happened. The two of you would rather cuddle or watch movies or play video games than clean the house or do school work. Today, however, was different. You had an important paper due for school tomorrow morning and you desperately needed a good grade. As you tapped away at your keyboard, you realized that there were no longer noises coming from the TV in yours and Michael’s room. He’d been playing video games all morning and the lack of screeching tires and gunshots from Grand Theft Auto made the hose seem too quiet. You saved your document and tiptoed down the hall to see what he was doing. Michael sat in front of the Tv cabinet searching through the stacks of dvds in search of something to watch. He ripped the plastic wrapping off of the latest season of Game of Thrones and popped the disc into the player. “Really Mikey?” you questioned, hands planted on your hips. “You’re going to watch without me?” Michael shrugged. “No, you’re going to watch with me but only after you finish your paper so hurry up or you’ll miss all the fun stuff” he said with a wink. You huffed in annoyance but returned to your laptop, thankful that you now had some motivation to finish your paper.  Once you were satisfied with your work you returned to the bedroom and joined Michael in his Game of Thrones marathon. The suspense of the episode was building and you hid your face in Michael’s shoulder, praying that your favorite character wouldn’t get killed off. Suddenly, the power went out and the TV screen went black. “NO! Wait! Does he live?” you yelled. Michael laughed. “I guess you’ll have to wait til the power comes back on to find out.” he laughed and you smacked his arm.
