The Perfect Story - Bughead Story

Day 40 B

I woke up to Jug coughing in his sleep . I felt bad for him because he was all sick and feeling cruddy . He was still on my chest as his arm was wrapped around my waist . I felt a sense of protection with his arm around me even though he was sick i still like it . I waited a couple hours until 8 when it was time for me to get julies up and work on the article for today  . I tried to get up but jug mumbled and in a quiet raspy voice said . " Baby don't leave " 

" I'll be back soon i just have to get julies up hun . " 

" Okay " he said coughing afterwards. 

" Aww baby , do you want anything for breakfast . " 

" Maybe some tomato soup . "

" Okay i will be back soon okay handsome just hang in there . " 

"Mmmk " he rolled over on his side . and i kissed his forehead then went over to Julies room . I carefully picked her up as she woke up slowly . I went to the kitchen and started to make jugs soup . Julies was just playing with jugs hat on my shoulder and then there was a knock on the door . I opened the door to gladys and i quickly let her in and went back to the kitchen as she followed . 

" Hey where is Jughead " 

" He is really sick so he is up in bed sleeping and i am making him soup because that was what he asked for . " 

" Wow that is so sweet of you " 

" Thanks , if you want to come upstairs with me you can he is clothed . " 

" No , no if he is sick i should just let him rest ."  

" It is fine he will love to see you . " we headed upstairs and on are way there i asked Gladys to grab Julies bouncer for me and rolled it in . 



I put his soup off to the side . and gently laid Julies in the bouncer as i gave her some of her toys and she played with them and Jugs hat . I then sat next to jug and lightly rubbed his arm aas he couched a bit the rolled on his back . " Handsome i have your soup . " 

" Thanks " his voice was so gone and raspy i felt so bad for him i just wanted to cuddle him and tell him it will all be okay . " Betts " 

" Yes Handsome " 

" Who was at the door " 

" it was your mom she is here if your up to talk to you . " 

" Yea " He smiled as i gave him his soup on a tray . HE started eating it as i pulled  out my laptop and worked on some work  Gladys came over and sat at the end of are bed and was talking to Jug . " Hi mom " 

" Hey Jughead how are you feeling " 

" Fine i guess " Jug was lossing his voice ever more so i gave him a pen and a notepad . 

" Baby i just write your voice is going .  " 

" Thanks " He smiled . They talked while he was eating . I finished my work so i put my computer away . He finished his soup as Gladys took it downstairs as Jug laid down on my lap . I combed gently through his hair as he smiled . Gladys came back and sat down . 

" I'm going to go since you seem very tired . " 

" Thanks for coming  " 

" Yea of course Jughead . " She left so i turned off the light and laid with Jug as he went back onto my chest . I combed his hair until he fell asleep . I felt bad for him because he would cough in his sleep . One time in the middle of the night he woke up a bit from coughing.  He mumbled and just snuggled deeper.
