Voilet's POV:

“Okkaayy! You have to relax!” Izzy said in a cheerful tone and she pulled me down back to the couch.

“You know I can’t” I said again standing up and started pacing around in the room. I studied myself in the mirror and saw a beautiful deep purple colored dress. I ran my hands over it smoothing any wrinkles and then scrutinized my face. I looked amazing; the makeup artist did a splendid job beautifying my plain, canvas like face.  Still, I felt so nervous about how I looked. Most of the articles in newspapers suggested Alistair should have gone for someone who has sense in fashion. It wasn’t my fault they were stealing my face book pictures. Who looks like models in them, I thought crossly and then joined Izzy on couch. Today was my rehearsal dinner and my mind kept on replaying the image of Alistair in my living room just this morning.

“It’s time,” I heard Alistair say from the door way. I stood up and turned around and my breath caught in my throat. A handsome man stood in front of me, all dressed up in Valentino, his top button open, his bluish colored eyes complementing the grey suit. He smiled at me and offered his hand. I smiled back and went towards him and placed my hand right into his.

“Don’t worry; it’s a private rehearsal dinner. But still, you ready to put your best act?” he asked, and I looked in to his piercing bluish eyes which now looked a shade of grey and even a little flare of dark black hue.

“I am,” I replied, smiling warmly and then immediately scolding myself to stop falling for this Greek god. He is in love with someone else! He is someone else’s MAN! I yelled at myself but deep down I knew I was going to be a big rebel.

We entered a hall, which wasn’t very big but was lavishly decorated. We were having our wedding at Scotland, a beautiful country. The hall was located at suburbs of the Edinburgh, a green, grassy land stretched out for miles. Guest stood up and I saw my friends and also a lot of Alistair’s close friends. There weren’t many actors and my eyes rushed to Uncle Harris, who was supposed to walk me down the aisle. I could recall how happy he sounded when I asked him last week.  I rushed to hug him and he smiled back and enveloped me in a big fatherly hug.

“I can’t believe my baby girl is getting married!” he said and I hugged him even harder, happy tears forming in my eyes. It was not a real wedding but still I felt nervous and happy just like a normal bride. Izzy joined me and also my cousin Elsa. Her green eyes looked happily at me and her father hugging and then she jumped on me and we were soon in tight group hug. Izzy started laughing and so did I to which my friends Chelsea and Kiara started snapping pictures from their cell phone.  Madeline pulled me out of the group hug and twirled me so that she could see my dress properly.

“WOW LADY! You can knock any man off his shoes!” Madeline said laughing in a singsong voice.

“Violet?” I heard Alistair call me to which I turned around and saw he was standing with two people. One was a very famous actor, Aiden Nicholas, who only did a single movie which earned him an Oscar. He was radiating these radiations of charm that made every one look like crap at this dinner, obviously excluding Alistair.

“Hello,” he offered his hand, his British accent good enough to swoop any girl off.

“Hi,” I replied, shaking his hand, surprised by the firm grip. In his arms stood a blonde, elegance dripping from her head to toe, she also offered her hand.

“Shalisa,” she said and I shook her hand gently. GOD those long fingers! I thought as she clutched her purse.

She was dressed in a beautiful maroon gown which was hugging the curves of her body. She could even beat Victoria Secret models with her figure and looks. I looked towards Alistair whose eyes were locked with Shalisa, giving me a pang of jealousy. I was barely 5’5 but Salisa must be around 5’9 and her three inch heel made her look almost perfect with Alistair who stood at 6’3. I heard Aiden clear his throat which made all three of us look at him.

“Okay… Violet…we know about his marriage being done on contract. And don’t worry since we have signed the ‘Documents’ to keep our mouth shut.”  Aiden said, his dark bight black eyes studied me. I barely managed to smile, not knowing what to say.

“Where’s your mom?” Shalisa asked, suddenly getting hold of Alistair’s arm.

“Oh yea, she is at the corner of the room.” Alistair pointed from the hand which was securely around my back.

“Violet come with me, you have to meet my mom.” Alistair said and finally held my hand to which Shalisa rolled her eyes and Aiden scoffed. Why Shalisa was so jealous, by any chance, is she Alistair’s love? I thought and suddenly felt my stomach tightening. The leggy beauty took a step back and Aiden again held her by the waist to which Alistair gave him a thankful smile.

I was still in dilemma about Shalisa’s relation with Alistair but got pulled out of my deep pool of thoughts as Alistair pulled me through the crowd towards a little plump lady, dressed in deep green colored, velvet dress.

“Mom!” Alistair said and embraced her as soon as she saw him.

“My son! Where is your fiancée? How rude of you not to introduce us before today!” she said, her voice smooth and kind.

“Mom, I am sorry, it just all happened so fast! Any way I have her with me right now!” Alistair said as he pulled me forward towards her mom to which the plump lady smiled generously.

“Hello, I am Violet!” I said, a smile stretched on my face.

“Oh, hi beautiful girl! You can call me mom,” she replied and pulled me into a bear hug. I was already smiling and hugged her back readily.

“I am so glad you married my stupid boy! No wonder he fell for a beauty like you!” Mom kept on talking to which I began to blush and Alistair started saying all the stuff like “Mom stop it” and “Mom I am also handsome”. I had no idea about his this childish side and I started giggling like a teenager.

“God bless you both,” Mom said and kissed our cheeks and then left us as someone called her.

“I am sorry about my mom. She doesn’t know anything.” Alistair said as soon as her mom was out of sight.

“Naah, its okay… and she is great by the way!” I smiled to which he smiled back warmly. OMG! I will die if he did not stop with his heart melting smiles.

“Lets get out of here” I heard Shalisa and saw she was actually talking to Alistair.

“I can’t…” he replied to which she just responded by pulling him towards her.

“I missed you…” she whispered loud enough so that I could hear her. My heart twisted in a weird way which even made me mad at myself. I was sure of one thing, Shalisa was the girl for whom Alistair was doing this whole thing and I am awfully close to falling for this star.
