Roommates!

Chapter 6

Jill hung up the phone as she began to freak out. Etai looked at Jill confused, "What happened? Who was that?" He questioned.

"That was Taylor, and Abby and Matt and the rest of them!" Jill said, shaking a bit.

"Shit." He mumbled before looking at the entrance of the mall. The two were currently outside of the mall, hanging out with a group of people, which noticed their change in expression and action.

"What's wrong?" One of the girls questioned.

"Oh! Nothing! I just found out.. that an old friend.. died." Jill lied, sighing a bit.

"Oh.. I'm so sorry Jill." She said, her tone becoming sad.

"Its fine, we have to go though, bye." Jill said quickly before grabbing Etai's arm and dragging him away.

"Why are ya leaving?" One of the boys asked, confused.

"Jill's friend died, I'm sure she needs time." The girl answered.

"Well, Etai can stay, its not like his friend died."

"Hey! If he wants to leave, he can." Another girl cut in.

"Sorry, but we do have to go." Etai said as he waved goodbye, letting Jill drag him away.

Meanwhile, the group stared at the phone before Abby stood up, "Lets go, we're going to find them." She said before rushing away from the group. The rest followed her, they were basically speed walking out of the mall. They exited the mall to spot Jill and Etai talking to a group of people, Jill taking Etai's arm and pulling him away.

Abby walked up to the two, "What the hell you two??" She said, her face full of worry, "We've been looking for you guys everywhere!" She yelled.

"Hey! Don't yell at them!" A boy said from the group, which Abby immediately recognized.

"Blade-?" She questioned, looking over at the Arab boy.

"Abby-" He said, stopping himself.

The two stared at one another, scared to say anything.

"What's going on here?" Abby asked, looking at Blade to Jill and Etai.

Jill was frozen, clutching onto Etai's arm by this point. Etai didn't say anything, he just looked at Abby, a bit scared.

"What the fuck, is going on here?!" Abby raised her voice, Taylor grabbing Abby's hand and pulling her away.

"Calm down Abby." She said, looking at Blade then the rest of the other group.

Both groups were kind of hesitant to speak, seeing each other for the first time in awhile. Blade sighed as he looked away, glancing at Jill and Etai before shaking his head.

"I didn't know you two still hung out with these assholes!" One of the other boys said, his British accent clearly heard.

"Hey! We aren't assholes!" Taylor said, glaring at the boy, that boy being Ace.

"Yes you are, you've basically became me, but worse."

The other group began to yell at Jill and Etai, they hadn't been informed that the two were living or still talking to Abby and everyone else. Jill looked away, Etai looked down. The two still didn't talk.

"Fuck off, no one wants you guys here." Scout said, only for a short British girl to flip him off.

"Well no one wants you here." The thot spoke.

"Shut it Endy," Scout snapped.

"Make me!" She said, making weird ass noises at this point.

While both groups were distracted, Jill thought this was their chance to escape, so they took it. Jill tugged on Etai's arm, which he nodded and they went running down the parking lot.

"Hey wait-!" Danny said as he noticed the two running away. "Guys!" He shouted at the arguing people. The stopped and looked up at him, since he basically towered over them, and then looked to where Etai and Jill were.

"The fuck?" Another British girl spoke, that being Molly.

"Stop them!" Brae shouted before running after them. Everyone else ended up running after Brae, some faster than others. Jill and Etai reach the end of the parking lot, stopping on the sidewalk as cars zoomed pass them. Jill was tempted to jump in front of one the cars but Etai stopped her by pulling her down the sidewalk.

Jill didn't have great endurance, which Danny knew. She was fast but couldn't run for long. Etai continued to pull Jill, picking up his pace. Danny began to sprint toward the two, catching up to them. But there was a small opening in the street, Etai took this opportunity to pull Jill into the street and run across the road, Jill close to being hit by a car. Jill swore under her breath, watching the cars zoom past them now. Jill looked across the street, seeing everyone stopped on the other side. "Guys! What the fuck! Stop running!" Matt yelled.

Jill was panting heavily, she wished she had worked out more. She shook her head and whined. She felt terrible. She lied to her friends, and she dragged Etai into it. Although it was Etai's choice to stay or not, which he stayed, she still blamed herself for it. They were now in the middle part thing of the street, yknow, the things with plants and sand and stuff.

"Guys, just come back over and explain, we aren't mad." Abby shouted, but Jill didn't listen as she was overthinking everything now. Jill grabbed Etai's hand and began walking away, not bothering to look back at her friends, who were probably pissed.

Etai didn't show it, but he was upset as well. He hid it better than Jill, but you could definitely tell if you looked close enough.

Danny shook his head before there was a small clearing. Danny didn't say anything before running across the road and onto the small middle part. Etai noticed and ran, grabbing Jill but Danny had already snatched her. She screamed and struggled, but Danny was much stronger than the skinny girl. "Run Etai!" She screeched, but Etai didn't go, he stayed. He walked up to Danny and sighed, "Let her go, we'll explain." He said, which made Jill burst into tears.

Jill didn't want to explain. She felt horrible. She wanted to leave. She continued to struggle, but of course, she didn't succeed.
