Chapter 4: Mushroom boys and busybody girls

I nodded as I exited the room. I walked down the hallway and say Beverly rush past me. "Oh, Elain. There you are. I was looking all over for you. Anyway, come with me, I have to collect Will graham and then we have to go. There's been a finding in the middle of a forest. Jack doesn't want to leave you here all alone."

I nodded as I followed her to find Will. We followed the loud noise of gunshots to the firing range and found Will graham practicing. She told me to stay outside as she went to get him, not wanting to damage my ears.

Around 8 minutes later, Will and Beverly emerge from the room and I am back to following her to her car in the back-parking lot. We drove with minimal chatter to where she said that 3 boys found corpses attached to IVs.

Once arrived at the forest she let me out and told me to stay on my own while they were busy with the crime scene. I nodded and sunkered down in a patch of flowers as I ran my fingers along the pedals. I was completely unaware of my photo being taken from a ways away. My antlers weren't too big but were visible from a far.

I thought nothing of it and continued on my own. we had a scheduled meeting with Hannibal, but I skipped mine as I had nothing new to talk about with him. Nothing that I was worried about. But I went with Will to the meeting. While I was sitting outside, I saw a redheaded woman place a recorder on the wooden door and I was suspicious, but I didn't speak out.

Once will and Hannibal were done, Hannibal looks to me and asks if I would like to join him for dinner with Jack. I shrugged as I didn't have anything else to do, as I was staying with Jack. Work ended swiftly, and Hannibal took me with him as Jack drove behind us to his home.
