We sat at the table, while we waited for Hannibal to be ready. We heard the door open and close, and a set of frustrated heeled footsteps. The footsteps were not coming this way, but were headed to the kitchen where Hannibal was preparing the final steps of dinner.

"As someone who makes such a big deal about common courtesy, I'm a little taken aback. Slash a lot taken aback, that you would take my patient, my patient, out of the hospital without my permission. And I'm not a professional scold, but don't put me in this position ever again." It was Alana bloom's voice. I glanced at Abigail and she gave me a sympathetic glance and shrugged.

"I'm sorry." Hannibal said.

"Rude! Hannibal shockingly rude!"

"You have every right to be upset with me. I overstepped my bounds." He said, he seemed like he was good at getting out of tight situations.

"Where is she?" Alana bloom asked, placing her hands on her hips.

"She's in the dining room."

"Hi, Doctor Bloom." Abigail said as she tried to pretend, she didn't hear any of that, and I did the same.

"Hello, Abigail." She said. "Oh, Elain... You're here too...how did..."

Hannibal looked to her and shook his head. At that, Alana nodded and moved topics. "You were expecting me?"

At that conversation returned to relative normality.

That night, Alana took Abigail back to the hospital and I decided I would stay once again, at Hannibal's house.
