Chapter Five

"Van"

Napalingon kami ni Van sa nagsalita. And shit!

"A-anong ginagawa mo dito?" I asked.

"Bakit? Bawal ba dito umuwi sa pamamahay ko?" My dad answered. Yes, it's my dad. Bakit ang dali lang niya? I thought he'll be gone for weeks?

"K-kanina k-ka pa d-dito?" I stammered. And Van right here is not even talking!

"Long enough to see how Van wrapped you in his my arms sweetie" And my dad smirk. Ohmyghad! Nabilaukan naman si Van sa gilid ko. Nabigla ata.

"Good Afternoon Sir" Van said na may kasamang bow. Ang respectful mo ata ngayon Van?

"Good Afternoon din iho. Halika pasok tayo sa loob" Waw, so Van na yung anak niya ngayon? Seriously Dad?!

"Dad, baka nakalimutan mong ako yung anak mo? Bat siya yung pinapasok mo sa bahay?" Reklamo ko sakanya.

"Darling, he's your bodyguard remember? So he can freely roam our house." I just rolled my eyes.

"At bat kasi dito kayo sa labas maglalambingan? May kwarto ka naman. Pwede naman dun." My dad continued. And shit! Nanginit yung mukha ko, feeling ko pulang pula ako samantalang si Van naman ay nabilaukan.

"DAD!" But my dad just laughed at me. Argh!

"Why? Ano pa bang hihintay mo? You're already 22. Pwede na sweetie."

"Ano bang pinagsasabi mo dyan dad?! At teka! Ba't ang bilis lang nung business meeting niyo?"

"Hindi pa yun tapos, babalik din ako mamayang gabi. May naiwan lang ako dito. Ano may aasahan na ba akong apo?" My dad grinned. If only you knew dad.

"Wala! Argh! Bahala kayo dyan!" so as I ran towards my room, I heard both of them chuckled. Matutulog nalang ako sa kwarto!

Madilim na nung gumising ako. I went straight to the kitchen kasi gutom ako. I noticed that foods were already prepared with a note that says 'Eat well. I'll be back later tonight. Umalis na rin ang dad mo. ~Van'. My dad already left? I checked the time only to find out that it's already 8:30 in the evening. Seriously?! Ganon kahaba ang tulog ko? I ate my food then after I went to the sink para hugasan yung plato na pinagkainan ko when someone hugged me from behind.

"I missed you" It's Van. I should confront him about this relationship that we shared.

"V-van" I stammered because damn! I can feel his breaths in my ear.

"Don't you missed me?"

"Van, I don't think this is right" The moment I said those, mas lalong humigpit ang yakap niya. It's as if telling that he won't let go.

"Just give me time Christy, I'll take care of this mess" Wth?! How can he be so sweet and all kung kakakilala palang namin?

"What the heck?! Van, look. We're just strangers who made those reckless act!" Napabitaw siya sa yakap and he clenched his fists. Yes, both fists.

"You can't just act so sweet and gentle to some strangers Van. I barely even know you! Ang alam ko lang ay isa kang architect and at the same time my bodyguard." I continued. I tried myself to stay calm kahit nakakafrustrate ito.

"Bakit Christy? Don't you like it?" He said and fondled my lips. Fuck! I can see him smirking. I can feel his palm on my cheeks. Caressing both my cheeks. I closed my eyes to feel the moment.

"Christy. Open your eyes and look at me" I did what he said. And I saw him, he looks so restless. I wonder why.

"Will you trust me?" I don't know kung anong pumasok sa kokote ko but I nodded. I don't even know if I can truly trust him but my heart said so. My mind wanted to let him go but I guess my heart won't allow it because right now, it really beats so fast. I hugged him first, a real tight hug. He hugged me back. And like I said, being in his arms, I feel so comfortable and secured.

"Are you okay?" he asked, full of concern. He patted my head. I just nodded in response.

"Van"

"Hmm?"

"Will you stay tonight? No lust feelings, just cuddling" I asked. I wanted to be in his arms tonight. Kahit ngayon lang, yung walang sensual desires na mangyayari. Just pure comfort from him. Kumalas siya sa yakap and answered my question.

"Okay" Then kissed my forehead.

"Punta ka na sa room." He continued.

"What?! Hindi pa ako tapos manghugas."

"I'll continue it. Just go upstairs and rest. I'll be there in a few" He said and gave me a peck on the lips. Well I guess wala na'kong magagawa pa. I just went to my room at iniwan siya dun. Van is kind, a gentleman, caring and loving but how come nakayanan niyang magcheat sa mismong bestfriend ko pa? Is this his ways para makuha ang attensyon ng mga babae? But I can really see that he's restless? Dahil ba sa relationship nila ni Aliyah? Shit! What I'm a even thinking!

"You seemed occupied. Matulog ka na" Sa sobrang occupied ko, hindi ko na namalayan na nasa tabi ko na pala siya. I rested my head on his arms and snuggled unto his chest. He wrapped his other arm on my waist. I absentmindedly yawned and I heard him chuckled.

"Good Night Chris. Sleep well" And he kissed my forehead. Chris? Sounds familiar pero saka ko nalang yan pagtuonan ng pansin cause I'm sleepy. Kakagising ko lang pero inaantok na ulit ako. Maybe I'm just comfortable right now. I just nodded at him and I drifted to sleep.
