Layla sat in front of the dresser and got herself ready. She and Sinbad were going on a date for the first time since before Esra was born. She was already almost two months. It would just be the two of them as Hinahoho and Rurumu had insisted to babysit. Their children were really good with her too so they had no worries that she would be in safe hands.
She was quite excited and decided to wear some makeup just to make some effort. It wasn't something she usually did but the last time she wore makeup was on their wedding day and she thought it would be something special for him. She left her hair out since he liked it and wore a simple, flowy dress.
Just as she finished getting ready, she heard the bells announcing that it was 4pm. Sinbad would be finished with his work and be on his way up, so she just had to wait for him to pick her up from their room.
Moving over to the bed, she sat there and waited for him. She would have just gone down to his office but he wanted it to be a proper date where he would pick her up. She looked at the door and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Fifteen minutes had passed by and he still hadn't arrived. Thinking that maybe he was still finishing off his work, she decided to wait a bit longer. If another fifteen minute passed, only then would she go down. So, while she waited, she lay down and decided to rest her eyes for a bit.
Layla didn't realise she had fallen asleep until the sound of a door closing woke her up. She opened her eyes and saw that Sinbad had entered. Seeing her on the bed, he walked over to her.
"Hey, baby," he spoke quietly. "Ready for our date?"
Her brows furrowed together slightly. "I was ready two hours ago. Where were you?"
He looked at her in confusion. "Why did you get ready so early?"
"Our date was at 4."
"No," he chuckled wryly. "It was at 6. I'm right on time."
She sat up. "We agreed on 4. I fell asleep waiting for you."
He shook his head. "It doesn't matter anyway. We can go now. Just get ready. Unless you're too tired to go."
She glared at him, annoyed that he hadn't noticed the effort she put into it. "I am ready."
His eyes travelled up and down. "Oh... Sorry." He stood up. "Let's go."
She sighed deeply and lay back down before turning her back to him. "I don't want to go anymore."
He frowned. "Why not?"
"I don't feel like it."
He sat back down behind her. "I said I'm sorry."
"Not only did you come late, you didn't even notice that I wore makeup and a dress for you."
"Okay. One," He held up a finger. "I couldn't tell because it's quite dark in here. And two," he held up two fingers. "We agreed to have our date at 6. So I'm actually on time. You're too early."
"No. You were late."
"If you're going to be like that, I don't even want to go on this date."
"Fine."Having had enough, she sat up and climbed off the bed. He watched her walk away to the door and when he realised she was actually leaving, he got up and rushed after her.
