Esra had just recently turned five years old and had started to go to school. Both Sinbad and Layla decided not to homeschool her because they deemed it important for her to grow up with children her age. It was really emotional for Layla when they took her in on her first day. Sinbad stayed strong on the outside but inside his heart was weeping. Obviously with her being a princess, she was well respected but they knew she would get on just fine. They didn't have to worry about her getting hurt either because Hinahoho had been teaching her how to fight.
It had been a couple of weeks since then and Sinbad and Layla were still adjusting not having her in the palace for six hours of the day. Layla was reading a book in bed and Sinbad was taking a bath. He wanted Layla to join him but she had already taken her bath while he was sleeping that morning. Suddenly, she heard a loud, high-pitched scream come from the bathroom.
She jumped out of bed and ran over to the bathroom before rushing inside. Sinbad was standing in front of the mirror with a towel around his waist and he was looking closely at the reflection of his hair. He looked distraught as he kept his hair parted.
Layla breathed out as she held her hand over her erratically beating heart. "What the hell, Sin?! I thought someone was murdering you." She walked closer to him. "Why did you scream like a girl?"
His eyes were fixed on the mirror. "This is it, Layla. No other woman will think I'm handsome anymore."
"As much as that is simply horrifying," she said with a roll of her eyes, "what happened?"
"I've got my first grey hair!" he cried.
"What?!" she mocked a dramatic gasp. "You? A 37 year old man has a grey hair? That's madness!"
"I'm being serious, Layla. Look!"He turned with his head lowered so she could see his grey hair. And there it was. His first grey hair.
"Yep. That's a grey hair," she confirmed.
He looked at her and held her shoulders. "What am I going to do?"
She raised a brow. "Uh, nothing?"
"No. I mean can't I dye it or something?"
She sighed. "It looks fine. You can't even tell it's there unless you point it out."
"But-"
"Sin." She held his face and smiled. "I think it suits you."
He blinked. "Really?"
"Yes." She wrapped her arms around his neck. "In fact, I think you look kinda foxy."
He suddenly smirked as he held her waist. "Well, in that case," he leaned down and pecked her lips, "I'll keep it."She laughed softly before he captured her lips in a deep and passionate kiss. Yes, they were getting older but they still had a long way to go. They still had so much to look forward to together. A few seconds later, they parted from the kiss and gazed at one another deeply. He smiled as he brushed his fingers through her curly locks before he spotted something.
"Looks like I'm not the only one with grey hair."
Layla's eyes widened as she gasped. "What?!"She moved to the mirror and looked through her hair, specifically the part where Sinbad brushed his fingers through. He was right. However, there wasn't just one thick strand of grey hair prominently standing out against her dark mahogany locks, there were two.
"Oh, my god! How did this happen?! I have grey hair! I have more than you!"
Sinbad laughed and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "You? A 36 year old woman? That's madness!" he said, mimicking her own words.
"Siiin!" she whined before pouting at him via the reflection of the mirror.
He smiled and held her tighter. "Layla, you could have one grey hair or a head full of grey hair. The fact remains that you will always be the most beautiful woman in the world."
She couldn't help but smile and blush deeply. "Really?"
"Of course."He lowered his head and buried his face into the side of her neck before breathing out against her skin. It sent shivers down her spine and he began to press soft kisses along her neck. Layla closed her eyes as she enjoyed his loving actions.
"I'm excited about growing old with you," he whispered between kisses.
She smiled. "Me too."
"I don't know when it will be the last time that I'll be able to make love to you," he spoke quietly. "So, before I break my hips," he bit down gently, causing her to gasp, "I want to make love to you as much as I can."
Layla's blush deepened as she suppressed a moan. "Even if you break your hips, Sin, there are still other ways to make love."
He chuckled against her neck. "Well, before I lose my mojo..."He suddenly lifted her off her feet bridal style and carried her to the bedroom. After placing her on the bed and climbed over her, removing the towel from his waist as she gazed up at him.
He smirked softly. "I better make the most of the time I have left."
