The Power of Goodbye
How painful it is!
How dreadful to say it!
Your boyfriend leaves you,
He says goodbye so unbearable.
You think he is the one,
However, he is willing to say goodbye.
Your childhood friend dies,
Leaving poignant memories behind.
You think she is always there for you,
Hanging out together, forever.
Your best friend betrays you,
She gets your hot but staid boyfriend.
You think the world is against you,
You lose two important people.
Your favorite teacher hugs you,
Eyes filled with tears and saying bye.
You think she will teach you still,
You've grown up and need to leave.
Your close colleague gets married,
Moves to another country willingly.
You think you can spend time,
For a long time but she says bye.
Your parents are getting older,
One of these days they will succumb.
You think you have to die first,
Afraid of their goodbyes.
How heart-wrenching to leave someone!
How devastating to say goodbye!
You say goodbye to your boyfriend,
thinking the sweet things he did.
You say goodbye to your loving boyfriend,
Having the thought of not seeing him again.
You say goodbye to your childhood friend,
Reminiscing the crazy things you did together.
You say goodbye to your adorable friend,
Having the fear of not talking to her again.
You say goodbye to your best friend,
Hating the wicked thing she did.
You say goodbye to your fake best friend,
Having the decision of getting rid of her forever.
You say goodbye to your favorite teacher,
Unwilling to leave her and start a new life.
You say goodbye to your wonderful teacher,
Having the gratitude of molding you to a better one.
You say goodbye to your colleague,
Accepting the fact she's a wife now.
You say goodbye to your cool colleague,
Having the excitement of seeing her again.
You say goodbye to your parents,
Thinking you will die ahead of them.
You say goodbye to your best parents,
Having the perception of leaving them behind.
Saying goodbye isn't easy!
Being left behind is difficult!
