Waiting for You
I've been keeping my feelings,
for a very long time,
just to save the friendship.
I've been keeping the pain,
everytime I see you crying,
when you get hurt.
I've been keeping the tears,
from falling when you cry,
in my shoulder pitifully.
I've been keeping the sadness,
of seeing you with him,
every single day.
I've been keeping the rage,
I feel towards your boyfriend,
who keeps on fooling you.
I've been keeping the disappointment,
I feel towards you,
for being so numb and fool.
I've been keeping the courage,
to confess to you over the years,
scared of not reciprocating it.
I've been keeping the yearning,
to be with you each day,
you and me eternally.
My heart doesn't know,
how to get tired of waiting,
for the day to come.
My heart doesn't know,
how to stop loving you,
waiting for your love.
My heart doesn't know,
how to give up everything,
to save me from hurting.
My heart knows that,
time will come you'll be mine,
together forever happily.
Note: This is inspired from the short love story entitled "Kailan Mapapagod ang Puso" (When does the heart get tired?)
