Chapter Twenty Two

Thursday.

Today is the day.

Today is the day that I am going to tell Lilah that I am leaving for tour.

I'm not too sure how she will take it. And I must admit, I am scared.

Scared she will be so angry with me that she will never want to see me again, scared that if I go on tour that she will never contact me while I'm gone...

Scared that she'll be happy for me.

This is the most, difficult thing to do. Telling your girlfriend you're leaving for 3 months, with barely anytime to contact each other. It's terrifying. I don't know what I'll do, if I can't talk to her while I'm gone. I don't know what I'll do, without her laying next to me at night. Being away from her is the hardest thing I've ever done. Even when we were apart for a week, I was miserable. Only God knows what I'll be like on tour.

I run around the house, looking for all the things I'll need to make this night special.

It was only 12 in the afternoon, and I still had a lot of work to do. I need to find an outfit to wear, I need food to cook, I need all the romantic things to make this night perfect.

So far, looking for the things I needed, was a bust. We didn't have any food for me to cook, we didn't have candles, we didn't have anything! On top of that, I have to get the ticket for Lilah.

You may be wondering, where's Lilah?

Well, she went to visit her mom for the day, seeming that her mother needed some time alone with her daughter that she never sees anymore because of me.

This gave me time. I only have 7 hours to make a night Lilah will never forget before I leave.

"Shit!" I yell as I stub my toe on the table in the living room. "This is why men where shoes around the house..." I mumble.

I put my shoes on, grab my keys and head to the store to buy everything I need.

Arriving to the store was horrendous. There were people everywhere! You'd never expect a Walmart to be so busy on a Thursday. Was there a holiday I forgot about?

Nope, just a lot of people in a store at once.

I head over to the frozen section with a shopping cart, knowing there was a lot of things on my list. I walk over to get the frozen chicken I needed to cook chicken parm. Lilah's favorite.  I then walk over to where the pasta was kept and grabbed a box.

I walk along all the aisles, thinking of what else I needed.

Candles

Red table cloth

Roses

Lilah's ticket

I don't know where the table cloths are, or the candles. So I walked the entire store and finally gave up and asked for help. Yes, I am that stubborn guy that hates to ask for help.

"Excuse me, but where are the table cloths and candles?" I asked the woman stacking some cans.

"Aisle 5." She points.

"Okay, thank you."

She nodded and i walk to aisle 5. I pick out the red table cloth and three candles.

I'm finally done shopping and I walk to my car with 10 bags of groceries. I put them all in the backseat, then drive over to Michael's, because he has the ticket.
