Third Person
Lilah and Ashton lay on the grass in front of their house, hands intertwined as they wait for Luke to pick up Ashton.
"I really don't want you to go, Ash." Lilah says quietly.
"I know, but I have to go. I don't wanna go either." Ashton replies, looking over at his girlfriend.
He kisses her temple and looks back up at the blue sky, not a cloud around.
They hear a car honk and look to the street. Luke is sitting there, waiting for Ashton.
Ashton and Lilah get up and look each other in the eyes.
"When I get back, we'll start back up where we left off. Right here, lying on the grass, okay?" Ashton says.
Lilah nods, a tear rolling down her cheek.
"Ashton, before you go, I want to give you this." She hands him a box.
Ashton opens the box, finding a bracelet that says My One and Only.
He smiles and puts it on.
Ashton kisses Lilah and gives her one last hug before he leaves for 3 months. He begins to walk to the car with all his stuff, looking back at Lilah. He suddenly remembers something he wanted to give to Lilah.
He walks back over to her, with an envelope in hand.
"Lilah, if you ever miss me too much, and I hope you don't miss me too too much," He laughs. He hands her the envelope. "Read this."
He kisses her one last time. He gets into Luke's car and they drive off. Lilah just stands there, looking at the envelope.
"Miss you already, Ash." She says quietly to herself, turning to walk back into the house that will be empty except for her.
