"So when are you going to tell her?" Michael asks, while I run around the house, looking for my pants while on the phone.
"I don't know, when are we leaving?" I ask while finding my pants and putting them on.
"Friday."
"And what's today?"
"Wednesday. You have two days, buddy. Two whole days to tell your girlfriend that you are leaving for 3 full months." He says slowly.
"Shut up, Michael. I hate you so much."
"I love you sooo much." he drags out the 'so'. "So when are you going to tell her, Ash?"
"Would you please stop pressuring me! I need time to think... Maybe tomorrow over a romantic dinner at home so she can't kill me in pulic?" I suggest.
"Dude, why would she kill you? She loooooves you."
"Because we just got back together two weeks ago and I'm already leaving for a tour." I say with some sarcasm, cos that's how I do.
"Ohhh." He sighs.
"I love you like a brother, Mikey. But sometimes you're an idiot." I say plainly.
"But I'm your idiot." I can hear the smile spread across his face.
"Whatever, Michael."
I hear the door open and close and hear a familair voice ring through the house. "Ash, I'm home!"
"Lilah's home, I gotta go." I say to Michael.
"Okay, bye mate. Love youuuuuu." He laughs.
I hang up my phone, throw it on the bed, and go to greet Lilah in the living room.
"There's my lovely girlfriend." I say and kiss her.
She kisses back, and things start to get heated quickly. She pulls away and I pout. She laughs, kisses me again, and then goes into the kitchen.
"So how was your hour at the mall?" I ask while jumping up to sit on the island.
"Hectic, you'd think for a Wednesday it wouldn't be all that bad." She sighs and pulls out iced tea for the both of us.
"Well, you know how some things just come up suddenly and they have to figure out a way to pay that person back..." I mutter.
She laughs and sips her drink, finishing it within a matter of minutes.
"Thirsty girl, eh? Lotta walking?" I chuckle.
"You have no idea. I think I'm going to lay down in our room." She says as she places her can on the island.
I follow her into our room and lay next to her. She nuzzles her head into my chest.
"I love the sound of your heartbeat. It's just so-" She thinks for a minute, trying to find the right words to say. "soothing and relaxing. Being next to you makes me feel safe."
I smile to myself, not knowing what to say. No one's ever said that to me.
"Lying here next to you is the most relaxing thing I can do. You make me feel, happy. You do that thing no one else ever thinks of doing." I finally say back to her.
"And what's that?"
"You're yourself around people. You're not afraid to do something crazy and you're not afraid to get into a little trouble and I love that about you."
"What else do you love about me?" She asks, closing her eyes.
"Well, where do I begin? I love your personality, and how you are so sweet to everyone, when you feel like it at least." I laugh. "You're cool, you're funny, you're beautiful in everyway possible, and-" I look down at her and see that she is fast asleep. I guess that she did do a lot within the hour she was at the mall.
I slip from under her, trying not to wake her up. I tip-toe out of our room and back into the living room, dialing Michael's number on the way.
"Hello, sir. How can I be of assisstance today?" He says.
"Can I bring Lilah on tour with us?" I blurt out.
"What?"
"Can I bring Lilah on tour with us?" I repeat.
He stays quiet for a second and sighs. "No, management forbade us from bringing our girlfriends on tour after what happened between you and Luke."
"Shit." I mutter.
"But, they did say we can give them a ticket to one of our shows and a backstage pass."
"You serious? Sweet! Thanks Michael for telling me this! Where is the closest place we'll be to Sydney?"
"Probably Melbourne."
"Okay, I'll get her a ticket and backstage pass for the Melbourne show. Thanks Mikey!" I exclaim.
"No problem."
I hang up the phone to call management for the ticket.
Lilah will be so happy, yet so mad at me. She love and hate me... Tomorrow over dinner, I'll tell her and I'll give her the ticket.
That should be interesting...
This chapter is just sorta a filler chapter. The book will be coming to an end soon :( probably within a chapter or two, depending. Should I write a sequel? ~C. Styles
